Staying right in the walled city of Obidos at the historic castle was a treat. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. It was really lovely to be within the walls to enjoy strolling around in the evening and early mornings before all of the day visitors arrived. Breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint was the air conditioning in our room was not working. The unit would run on fan only. When running on cool it would run for about 3 minutes and immediately shut off. When we reported the issue to staff they told us it was functioning as intended and that we just didn't understand how to use it. My husband is an electrical contractor so we are pretty sure we had a good handle on how a wall AC works. We decided not to ruin the stay by arguing since we had a work around. While it was very hot during the day, the evening was cool so we simply opened the windows and doors to get a cross breeze going. Other than that one issue we would definitely return and recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Hermoso y muy original lugar. Sin embargo cuando llegamos (lunes 22 en la noches) un empleado nos recomendó irnos caminando aún viendo que llovía (el trayecto es de al menos 10 minutos y le dijimos que no conocíamos) ello por su pereza ; eso sin duda afecta mucho la experiencia de un lugar mágico. Deben cuidar la calidad y calidez del servicio; al final nos llevó pero de mala gana y a toda velocidad

Thomaz e João fizeram a diferença. Pela dificuldade de acesso devido ao Mercado de Natal Thomaz prontamente nos acolheu para nos levar ao hotel Castelo. O quarto não poderia ser melhor e o café da manhã impecável.

Excelente hotel. El estacionamiento es fuera del pueblo pero tiene el servicio de recogerte y llevarte. Una experiencia inolvidable. Las habitaciones hermosas y el desayuno espectacular. Volveríamos sin lugar a dudas. Hospedarse en el castillo es una experiencia única. Tienen servicio de té y galletas todo el día.

Excellent experience. We were in the castle. Service was excellent. Room was nice and clean and quiet. It smells musty ( not too bad though) but expected for an old castle. The town is quaint as well with shops. Had excellent meal in town and great breakfast at hotel. This was one of our favorite experiences!
