This hotel was reserved by application. We were looking for a reasonably priced spot to stay for six nights. Madeira Island is all situated on a very steep hill, and the location of this hotel is uphill from town. They said a taxi would cost between $4 and $4. We chose to walk it. Part of it is so steep that the sidewalk has steps. The town is amazing, as is the island we saw on day trips. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the staff is excellent. The room was small, but they have a nice sitting area with a to and refrigerator. Breakfast was simple, but it's included in the price. The front desk serves as a bar. Visiting Portugal is very reasonable, especially right now while the us dollar is strong. If you are on a budget and don't mind being on a hill, I would recommend this hotel.

I have a nice clean room with a little shower bath. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. They provide new towels every day. Breakfast was good, fresh bread rolls from the bakery around the corner, and fresh fruit. Good value for money and only 10 minutes walk to the funeral. Thank you so much to everyone for making my last holiday week special. If I come back to Madeira one day, I would stay anytime with you.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and I would definitely return. It was a comfortable, reasonably priced stay. The room is kept tidy. When I went back to locate where to store my kettle and charger, I struggled to locate where it was. When I hung the laundry in the shower to dry, they moved it to the window inside the shutter, and when I returned, it was bone dry. The buffet breakfast has a good selection, with plenty of fruitsalad and choices of bread, cold meat, cheese, etc. I had dinner on the patio with a view of the valley. Other evaluations included noise. Cockerels and dogs woke me up early and I would lie in bed while enjoying the atmosphere. If that isnt for you, maybe pick somewhere in the tourist area at the far end of the city. Also, it is a typical building built on a hill, over several stories, and there is no elevator, so if the additional flights of stairs to the dining room are a problem, look elsewhere. Despite the madeira tastings and ice creams, it was a fairly steep walk back in the evenings, keeping the pounds off. Only about 20 minutes into the city center and very similar to the old city neighborhood. A small hotel bar, and if you don't want to go out to eat again, they would phone for a takeaway

We stayed at the Residential Do Vale for one night, but we loved it so much that we stayed there for ten nights of our honeymoon! From our balcony, we could see the city, the ocean, and the harbor. The personnel was very kind and accommodating. There was an electric teakettle in our room that came with free tea bags and sugar, which was very convenient when it was hot. On the terrace, the breakfast was also excellent with a stunning ocean view. The portions were generous, delicious, and reasonably priced, and guests could order food from the nearest eatery. The hotel was unquestionably our best choice for the hotel. Anna and Vladimir.

Beautiful place with lots of luxury sofas, carpets, and wood floors. Quiet on the side of the street. Very little room, but the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is simple but substantial and has a lot to offer, but no buffet. The landowner is a unique treasure and will go out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Request a room with a terrace, the view of the city is amazing.
