Thank you to Daniel, Pedro and all the staff at Decanter Hotel for a memorial stay in Puerto Rico. If you're looking for a hotel near everything in Old San Juan, Decanter Hotel is the place to stay. Now, please keep in mind that the surroundings can get very Noisy due to restaurants/bars around but in overall, it's so worth it.

This is a beautiful property with the Coloniel architecture preserved AND frosty air conditioning in the rooms and suites. The bathrooms are updated with rainfall shower heads. I stayed in a King suite which was very comfortable and had a long balcony accessible from both the bedroom and the second room. I had cocktails a couple of times at the rooftop bar which has a great view and great drinks/mocktails/ cocktails/bites. Everything is extremely clean. Although it's got period architecture, there's nothing dingy about any of it. It's the best location, central to everything and positioned fairly high on San Juan's hilly streets, so it's easy to reference when wandering around town. There is some street noise at night but every hotel in the old town is going to have that. It's happy noise, not obnoxious. I stayed over memorial day weekend and Sunday night to Monday was much quieter than Saturday to Sunday. The staff is very sweet and professional. They leave you alone but are there if you need them. Extremely courteous.

Decanter is such a classy place and, more importantly, CLEAN! The location is perfect - right in the middle of everything in Old San Juan. I stayed in the King Balcony room and absolutely loved it. The staff was kind, the atmosphere was beautiful, and I felt very comfortable staying here solo. I’ll definitely stay here again and will be recommending Decanter to my friends and family!

The bar was fairly decent. Staff is extremely polite and kind. Daniel and Fabiola are the ones I had the most interactions and they were fabulous and always helped us. The rooms were very clean. We had the terrace suite and it was perfect. The hotel location is just perfect as it is close to all great bars, restaurants, brunch spots, the castle and scenic views. We had a very enjoyable and convenient stay.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. From the time we checked in the staff was always welcoming and smiling the rooms. The lounge were always spotless. The air-conditioning in our room was amazing, especially after a long day being in the hot sun.

Nice place. Clean room with high ceilings and centrally located. Parking is difficult in all of Old San Juan. No real amenities at this place but it is a quiet and nice place. Advertised a bottle of wine but it was never given.
