В Басманке своя энергетика) Приглушенный свет, мебель из цельного дерева, удобные большие кровати, высокие потолки, деревянные, немного скрипучие полы. После дневной суеты так хорошо спалось. Хочется верить, что стены хранят воспоминания о прошлом, есть даже кусочек среза штукатурки за 100 с лишним лет. Сантехника ХансГрое, и всё работает. Хорошо здесь было, хочется вернуться.

Just before the new year, I made a last-minute reservation at the Basmanka Convent, and I had a wonderful experience. In a fantastic city center location two metro stops from Red Square, with friendly personnel, I was very pleased with my brief stay there. The basmanka convent is the ideal and strongly recommended place for a low-cost but cozy alternative in the heart of Moscow. I stayed in a very clean and cozy single room that included all necessary amenities. The receptionist was flexible with check-in time, which was particularly helpful following a night flight.

This hotel is close to 2 metro stations from the center. The staff is incredibly kind and flexible, and the place is well-maintained in terms of security. The surroundings are quite good.

Hotel is located off the first ring of Moscow but a few steps from the subway station, making it very convenient for sightseeing. It is located in an old building in a very quiet area, and the hotel is safe because it is enclosed and only can be entered after ringing the bell. The rooms are quite spacious and have a big and very comfortable bed, and the bathroom is also spacious with a shower with a curtain. Furniture isn't to my taste the most pleasant, a bit gloomy in colour, but the style is also good. What is very important to me is a very quiet hotel. Breakfast choices are not very large, but it is adequate and good, with sweet and savory food and the fine casa russian porridge. The staff is always present and available. To consider that, although it is very close to the subway, the hotel is difficult to find because there is no sign at the entryway, so new guests must be informed in advance where the entry point is, otherwise, there is a risk of wasted time. What is very important is that the hotel refuses to register its customers despite being required and dependent on them. This is a serious problem for customers who have to deal with it because registration is laborious and difficult because all the forms are written in russian.

In all honesty, it was a little unusual and slightly off-putting to see the surroundings around you, but you grew accustomed to it because the hotel grounds were fenced, there is a busy thoroughfare to fromaround the metro and a few local shops. Due to a number of renovations carried out near the neighborhood in mid-2018, it was a little challenging to stroll around the local neighborhood. However, these things do not matter if this hotel is just your base for excursions into other parts of Moscow. The air conditioner worked in the ground-floor rooms, which were spotless and spacious. It was difficult to understand how breakfast was made.
