Lagon 2 is an excellent hotel and one of the best choices in Dakar. The location on the water is very beautiful and the hotel is very comfortable, clean and the staff are all very gracious and helpful. The air conditioning works well and the room is spacious. The breakfast is very good with beautiful views to start your day. The Lagon 1 restaurant nearby is excellent with very good seafood. From the hotel, you can walk along the water into the town and then Independence Plaza. I recommend Lagon 2 if you want a high quality hotel but not to be removed from the local culture by being in a resort.

This was such a unique hotel. It's like a bost but not in super campy/cheesey way. You're right on the Atlantic ocean. The views are stunning. The food is great and so wonderful. Its in a part of town that is walkable to alot of other site.

Loved the location! Hotel is very well set up. Restaurant and bar food was very good and lots of choices. Staff we wonderful, friendly and helpful. Loved the private beach too.

Tres bon sejour. La vue est top ainsi que le fait d'entendre les vagues, on a l'impression d'etre sur un bateau. Cote eco-responsable, dommage que les personnes de ménage remettent la clim apres chaque passage.

You can get beautiful sea view from all rooms because of coastal location. Also the bar and restaurant are surrounded by beautiful and blue Atlantic Ocean.

A great place! Over the top 'yacht decor' could be oppressively kitschy but instead, it's fun and dear. Great restaurant on a pier out into the water, a fine small beach and a fully interior resto as well. Rooms are small but super clean and with balconies. Though you are delightfully entrenched in the feeling of the sea and sea culture, you're still just a 7-minute walk right into the heart of Plateau, Dakar's most established downtown 'hood (GO TO BELUGA FOR DINNER!). Great staff, kindly and helpful. ONE cautionary note: the site says "free hotel transfers" but that is ONLY from 8am-8pm: after dark means charges and NO discount through the hotel NOR will management do anything to help. While this is annoying in principle, it didn't upend the time at Lagon for me. WOud go back in a heartbeat.
