From the fantastic greeting to our departure, we were immediately drawn to the magic of Daltons, Dublin, and all of Banana Island. Greg is a laid-back host, the shady round houses are simple but cozy, and the food is excellent as long as you like fish well what else is there to expect on an island? With the sound of waves breaking at high tide, you are lulled to sleep. So serene! A private snorkeling excursion was fairly suitable for the atlantic with lots of wrasse, picassoparrot fish, and smaller humbug. Transfer from the mainland with the eponymous My Dalton's Own Boat. The downside at this time of year is the windblown plastic garbage coming from Freetown, which festoons the island's windward side. It is an overwhelming task for all of Sierra Leone, though swept up after every high tide.

It's the best beach resort accommodation in Sierra Leone. Where should I begin? The variety of thrilling activities, the amazing and reasonably priced cuisine, the warm hospitality. the unmatched environmental minded and eco-friendly setting? It was an all-win encounter with the most affordable beach resort accommodation in Sierra Leone by far. Special thanks to the cook for nailing it every time, every meal. The water quality was the greatest in West African. The presence of a scuba diving center with a trained dive instructor on-site and a reliable kit made a significant difference, though I assume you could see a lot even if you went snorkeling alone. But some important personnel, such as colonial shipwrecks, are only accessible deeper. Fun water sports are also accessible. We've seen other visitors taking a spin with water skis, tubing, and windsurfing, but we focused on sportfishing and diving. The rooms are basic, so don't expect luxury here. But very clean, comfortable beds, and plenty of electricity day and night. Charging hours were only available in the daylight 8 am to 6 pm as the resort relies entirely on solar power very quiet and peaceful throughout with birds and the waves as the only sound solution Big change in Sierra Leone. The groups we gathered all stayed longer than planned, and we didn't have such an option.

If you're searching for a new adventure with a variety of activities during your holiday, Banana Island is the place to stay. The staff is focused on providing you with the best experience, whether you relax on the beach or under the ocean view canopy, or go snorkeling, windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, sup, kayaking, forest hikes, or historical tours about the slave era! Honestly, I can't remember a few more. Fresh fish are caught by the staff on the same day by spearfishing, so you can see what you will eat. The rooms are basic but clean, with oh power and cooling with ceiling fans. Several other guests took more adventurous activities such as excursions to turtle islands or whale watching, but our time was unfortunately limited. Plan to spend more days on the beautiful banana island.
