I loved this resort. Absolutely beautiful. The food was very good and the staff were always helpful. The night life was also great. The resort has a nice size pool and the beach was walking distance away. It less than 5 minutes away from the airport which we appreciated. We enjoy watching the planes fly over our head. We had such a great time, that we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, they were sold out and I can see why. Will definitely consider coming back.

Our ocean view room had a great view of the pool and ocean. The room was also spacious and very clean. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Azul as well as the view and breeze from the ocean. The staff were courteous and very accommodating. The edge pool was wonderful! It was peaceful with staff there to serve you drinks. The resort is great for relaxing as well as taking advantage of the excursions to explore the island. You have access to the family side (Sonesta Maho Beach). It is very crowded and the food is only mediocre. I really enjoyed the quiet vibe at the Ocean Point!

I stayed in a swim-out suite at Sonesta Ocean Point for four nights with my boyfriend, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience.The swim-out suite was excellent, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The resort itself is beautiful, with a great location next to a charming town and a casino, making it easy to explore the area.As for the food, I would rate it as average overall, but Azul was the standout restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were not impressed with the Italian restaurant, although the rest of the dining options were decent for an all-inclusive resort. The drinks were very good throughout our stay.One of the biggest advantages of the resort is that it caters well to both couples and families. The adults-only side is peaceful, with dedicated adult pools, and children generally do not spend much time in that area.The beach is beautiful, but the pathway leading down to it has quite a few rocks that the hotel should clear to improve safety. Beach service doesn’t begin until around 8:30–9:00 a.m., so there’s no need to wake up extremely early for chairs. However, most chairs are taken by noon.We had only a couple of minor issues with our swim-out suite. The door had a larger gap at the bottom than expected, which allowed some hallway noise into the room. We also saw a cockroach come through the gap near the door, although it didn’t get far. I think the hotel could improve the room doors by sealing those gaps better. I would come again!

This was the nicest property I’ve stayed at! We saw turtles while eating breakfast. Along with planes landing low! I’d highly recommend this resort and would go back. The views are amazing. Pools are clean and beautiful! Massage at the spa was wonderful. Clean rooms and very accommodating. Parking for our car worked out great. 5 days was not long enough for us. Walkable to Maho beach and Tortuga- also recommend!
