On arrival the booking was not paid which was the error of the person capturing the booking.Thus causing a delay to check in. Receptionist at the time was very kind and helpfull. The rest of the stay was peaceful and we had a good rest after a very busy day in Bloemfontein.

The price I paid for the lovely room was in fact unbelievably low, thanks to Expedia. I wished I had booked for more days there than I did. The room was befitting of a King. It made me feel big in my boots. There was no negative feelings about the surrounding area especially since I was ferried to the doorstep on arrival and whisked away by the hotel's shuttle service at departure time. The bed was just what I needed after an extended travel time to massage my weary back and in fact, the whole body..

Protea Central in Bloemfontein was an excellent experience. From check-in to check-out everything was well taken care of. The hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service to Tourist Centre from where I was to get my bus to Pretoria. I will definitely put up in this hotel when visiting Bloemfontein again!

I surprised by the soul of this hotel in the heart of South Africa, Bloemfontein. Hospitality and care made it into a small holiday break. Lovely staff. Its a nice old building, meaning spacious rooms, interior is well maintained to add to total comfort, large working space area and en suite bathrooms with complimentary luxury toiletries. I love the old stone tile floor which were kept intact, it oozed of old memories. Comfortable rooms, large working space area, luxury complimentary toiletries as well. Hotel is situated very conveniently and Bloem Plaza can be entered directly from the foyer/reception.

Its a lovely old building, meaning spacious rooms, interior is well maintained to add to total comfort. I love the old stone tile floor which were kept intact, it oozed of old memories. During load shed hours (which is quite common in South Africa's electricity supply network) the hotel kept going smooth. The food is really good. opted for buffet one evening and enjoyed each bit I tasted. Great breakfast buffet is also available and the traditional pap (maize porridge) was available each day during my stay. One can eat it sweet or savoury as the locals do. Comfortable rooms, large working space area, luxury complimentary toiletries as well. My team whom I also booked in here, were just as over the moon with this establishment and the food. Hotel is situated very conveniently and Bloem Plaza can be entered directly from the foyer/reception. The lane with street vendors selling local handmade arts & crafts is a must to visit. And if something is too far, the hotel has a complimentary shuttle service with knowledgeable staff to assist - pick guests up or drop them off even as far as the airport outside the city (BFN) Bram Fisher International Airport. If you are ready to travel, this hotel and its staff are more than ready to receive you.

We stayed one night with the whole family on route from Cape Town to the Kruger Park. It was a comfortable enough hotel and conveniently located. On the negative side. The walls are paper thin, so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

Very clean spacious room with very good service. Only problem was the noise in the hall 12 o'clock at night. Could not sleep after that again. Also parking gate did not want to open on entering.
