Getting to the hotel's entrance is a bit tricky, some drivers know their ways so problem solved, otherwise the drop off point to hotel is still walkable. The hotel is beautifully restored with chic and creative design, bed is very comfortable. I really love the vibes here, unfortunately it can be very loud with the music during weekend. One should avoid this place if quiet room preferred. Breakfast served in a la carte menu and freshly prepared, it was so delicious. Staffs are very genuine, helpful and friendly. It was definitely the hidden gem in Cape Town.

The staff was extremely nice and helped with anything we needed. We also really enjoyed the restaurant on the roof.

This was a very unique hotel! I loved the pizazz of the decor. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. We enjoyed the mini bar in our room filled with local alcohol and snacks and the restaurant made it really convenient for us.

Excellent service - friendly and accommodating. Unattractive building on the outside but quite nice inside. Quiet, located close to things. One negative are people who pester you for money as you walk nearby. Insistent but not rude, nor dangerous in our experience. Food is surprisingly good for a mid-level hotel.

I have been going to Mining Indaba for more than a decade and stayed in many different hotels, including big brand names. Gorgeous George is by far the best I have stayed at in so many respects. However, what perhaps stands out most is the staff. Most hotels have courteous, helpful staff. GG goes beyond this. They are genuinely friendly and fun. The hotel has free access to a top gym, their restaurant is cool and has terrific food. The rooms are spacious and elegant with good amenities. I will no longer be searching around for new hotels in Cape Town. I have found my place and will keep going to GG from now on.
