The Ledges is in a gorgeous and tranquil Drakensberg location. The cottage was clean and comfortable and far exceeded our expectations. Owners Adrian and Jessica were exceedingly kind and generous and made a plan to get an important bag we’d left behind delivered to Johannesburg, for which we’re eternally grateful!

Excelente lugar muy espacioso limpio y muy amable la recepcionista. Queda en un lugar heemoso con un gran parque. Super recomendable. La casa esta totalmente equipada. Lamentablemente solo nos quedamos una noche pero el lugar merece una estadia mayor.

Schöne Zimmer mit bequemen Betten in traumhafter, ruhiger Umgebung nur 20 Autominuten vom Royal Natal NP entfernt. Abendessen möglich, wenn man bis 10 Uhr Bescheid gibt. Vollausgestattete Küche zur Selbstverpflegung vorhanden.

Tolle Unterkunft, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Frühstück war perfekt und das Abendessen sehr lecker. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und nur 20 min vom Royal Natal Nationalpark entfernt . Uns hat es super gefallen! Vielen Dank für alles!!!

We really loved our stay at Ledges Retreat, the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. Royal Natal is really closeby to go for a hike. The room was nicely decorated and modern with a big bathroom. Everyone was really friendly and the dogs were a bonus ;-) Definitely one of our favourite places during our 3 week trip!

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was so amazing. I can tell you that everything is just fine. It's beautifully renovated with a fireplace, wifi, and spacious bathrooms with showers and tubs. The view from the patio is really fantastic with break facilities and friendly, helpful staff and owner. The temperature is too hot for the pool, but kids enjoy the trampoline. A short drive to the royal natal national park where you can try hiking on all levels. There is a great pizza restaurant close by! After all, the cottage was spotless. Good value and I highly recommend this!.

The location is close to Malt National Park, and located in the northern drakensberg. The friendly host and staff took the time to help us settle in. The breakfast was good, with a view of the ravine. The breakfast was served at a dining room.

I really recommend it, I will be back here again. Including Jessica, her adorable dog, her family, and her employees, they always do an excellent job and always give a friendly smile.

I will definitely return. My family and I stayed for one night on a trip back from the coast, but we left thinking we could have stayed much longer. Jessica and her team were very kind. It felt like a home away from home, but with sophistication and amazing service that I would expect from a top notch resort. We were able to reserve breakfast and the food was great and filling definitely worth it. In addition to the updated farmhouse furniture and welcoming vibe, this place is peaceful and quiet with a view of the mountains and the small stream.

The rooms are quite large and tidy. The entrance to the room was a little unkempt and left a lot to be desired. Though there are no date labels at this lodging, just the sac channels, and unfortunately, the wifi signal is very weak. There are no electric blankets in the rooms, but the tiny fan heater works well. The rooms also had a refrigerator and a microwave. It's not clear if the house is under renovation, but the exterior that leads to the rooms was somewhat shabby. The second parking area, which is not secure with a fence or gate, was another drawback. We chose to park near the reception area because this made me nervous to leave our vehicle unattended there. I'm not sure if they have security officers, but I didn't see one. Breakfast isn't much selection, and an omelet costs an absurd 90 rand. Royal natal is a 20-minute drive away. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

The scenery is amazing, views incredible . We stayed in the Farm House which was very spacious and well kept. The breakfast was okay. There aren't a lot of amenities around ensure you are well stocked up on necessities. There are also only 2 places where you can dine close by, which had an hour waiting time when we were there, ensure you factor these in during peak times so that you avoid being hangry 🙂
