This was not a four-star hotel nor a four-star encounter. Ideally situated next to the Melrose Arch. Staff members for security and reception. On my first day, around 10 p.m., no hot water and a shower with a very poor drainage problem, reported to the front desk and plumber to assess at 09:30 today, which he did assess without any intervention! After another cold shower and poor drainage, a repeated complaint and request for a plumber to the front desk were made at around 18:30. The Plumber responded in 10 minutes after an additional 5 minutes, and he assured that all was restored with a grin and a plunger in hand. Another attempt at a decent shower was unsatisfactory. Once again, the front desk reported the issue at 18:50. I was grateful for an offer to rent a room on the ground floor. After last night, I accepted that the guests were making noise and loudly since last night were heard throughout the day and night. No soundproof rooms! So, whether you need a hot shower, or a comfy nights slumber. I chose a cold shower for a comfortable night's slumber. Even while people were eating, I observed that they mopped the restaurant and reception area at 911 a.m. Both in previous and presently.

This hotel is quite different from the previous hotel I think this hotel can be improved and more valuable. The only thing that can be improved is the service at the reception. :The cleanliness here is good. The receptionist is very friendly. I had to wait for a room, but it was because they had to replace the bed linen. And then, it's nice to know that this hotel gets new bed linen each day.

The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are well-equipped with modern decor and a kettle, fridge, and microwave. There is also good cupboard space. It is still located outside the Melrose Arch which is problematic in a place like Johannesburg, especially at night. You wouldn't want to walk from the mall to the hotel. The restaurant staff was also not very accommodating, and some of the cutlery seemed to have not been cleaned properly.

We stayed at Melrose, the location is good because just close to the hotel and the pool area, and they served me nice food. The staff was very friendly.

The hotel is contemporary, clean, and serene. The restaurant had enough variety to meet most needs. When we were done with our day, they started to be very sportsy, but they had a you tube. All of the tours we chose were picked up here. The concierge was particularly helpful in ensuring that we were to be picked up. Our room was cleaned daily by the maid. Do I need to emphasize that this is very unusual for a 5 star hotel, much less a 3 star. I would say it was aiming to be higher than a 3 star!.
