We stayed here for one week and really enjoyed most of the services there except 10 pm curfew and wifi that only works when you are sitting close to receptionist. We have a friendly and helpful staff and they are always willing to help you.

We got a nice meal on dinner with a different menu and we had a good experience. The food here is very good and the bar service is good but the options for wine can be better. We stay here for 2 nights.

In February 2019 for a business trip, I stayed in the Gateway Inn for two nights. During my visit, the town's water supply was affected and loading was in full swing. The guesthouse, however, well adapted for these two extremely inconvenient South African realities because they sourced alternate water and also had backup generators during loadshedding. The interior is well-decorated and features faux terrace roofs and window shutters, giving it a charming atmosphere. I stayed in room 13, a standard room with a shower and basin. My married colleagues stayed in room 15, which appears to be an executive suite with a bathtub, couches, etc. There are no extra amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, or lotion, only a tiny piece of soap, which is good if you pack your own in any case. Towels are provided. In my room, there was no hairdryer. The room has instant coffee, powdered creamer, tea, and some biscuits. Inside the lodge and rooms, there is free wifi. The restaurant and bar area is cozy, and I really prefer it to the other franchise restaurants in town. The menu has a wide variety, is reasonably priced, and you can really just sit back and relax in the tailback ambiance. I would without a doubt go back to this lodge if I needed work in Halo again.

On business, I visited the Gateway Inn. Lovely, intriguing setting. Although I didn't feel particularly at ease because of the receptionisthost. We requested glasses of warm water at dinner only for them to provide water with oil seating on top. The water in Mahalo is the same as it is in the Philippines, as we were later told. We inquired about an iron, only to be directed to the laundry room, which turned out to be a guest room for the establishment's employees. I was uneasy. Anyway, I am definitely experiencing better. Such a lovely location if made friendlier, tidy, and remodeled with a smile.
