The Links guesthouse was an absolute pleasure, my family and I stayed there on our family holiday in SA and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bedrooms and the warm hospitality we received, will definitely make this is a holiday destination in the future.... 5 stars all round

I picked the property because it was in a safe area when on business. The surroundings are pleasant, and the facility is lovely. As a business traveler, having reliable internet at all times is vital, and it is now mandatory in any three-star guesthouse or higher. Unfortunately, there was no wifi connectivity on the premises, particularly in room number three. To get the signal, I had to exit the veranda door, which is not good for working in your room after hours. The facility should investigate this, in my opinion. Breakfast was basic, with eggs, bacon, and toast. At a five-star hotel, the standard expectation is higher than usual and anticipates that there is hot coffee brewing or juice left on the tables when guests arrive at the breakfast table. Sadly, this was not the case. To make sure these preparations are complete before guests reach the breakfast tables, I advise staff to start ten minutes earlier. I recall when I was asked what time I would like breakfast and indicated am. If this is not met, then the visitor should be informed that they would only be prepared at 715 am.

The service is friendly, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is delicious, the bedroom is spacious, and the bathroom is great.

The only problem is the pool area, because the tiles around are so slippery and there is no support beam pole.

The only thing keeping this hotel at a 3 * level is the breakfast which was not bad. Hotel has some potential IF it was maintained properly, serviced on time and had qualified personnel in place. Definitely strongly overpriced and not worth of what is asked for it, aircon not cleaned for ages, impossible to use, very noisy with some loose parts in the garden during windy nights. Door hanles falling apart and toilet very untidily refurbished in the so called "presidential suite". Location is also not the best and even burnt croissants for breakfast.
