The location is great, right by the myeongdong subway and across the street from all the action. The front desk is staffed by one person so make sure you can check in on time. You will sleep on floor mats. Great for a firm sleeper like me, probably unbearable if you need something plush. There is no elevator and your luggage will need to carry it up 2 to 3 stories of stairs. Bathroom is the shower stall. Water drains through the floor. As resulting, everything in the bathroom, including the toilet, will get wet when you shower. Although there isnt he room, there are friendly and helpful staff who speak english well. Rooms are warm. When i went to shinny, it was -12 degrees outside. But my room was always warm and toasty. I didnt even feel cold when exiting the restroom after taking u shower because it wasnt really cold. This is huge to me and something ive sometimes found lacking when staying in large hotel rooms or suites as well! Despite being small and affordable, they offer little surprises. For instance, the bathrooms have small packets of disposable toothpaste. Floors were heated. Every morning, fresh towels are delivered outside the room. If you know how to navigate the stairs and the bedding, ill strongly recommend staying here.

We recently had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse of ari. The host was fantastic, and the room was more than adequate. Extremely tidy! With homemade jams and ginger teas, the breakfast was excellent. Excellent value, impeccable service, great location!.
