Lovely well maintained property, extremely friendly, considerate and helpful host. No restaurants were open in the village in the evening, but they serve pizza right at the hotel which is nice. A bit difficult to find the entrance if you arrive on foot. A sign on the gate would help. The bell on the walk in gate didn’t work

I recommend it to anyone looking for a special place in Asturias. After reading all of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, my wife and I stayed 3 nights at Hotel Casa de Castro to explore the accident of Asturias and it lived up to our expectations. The owners, Rose and Peter, were very friendly and extremely helpful, giving us all the directions and advice we needed plus more. The room we had was immaculately clean and fully functional, with beautiful views of the garden and the pool. Breakfast was delicious, with excellent orange juice, fresh fruit, meat, cheeses, homemade cakes. The garden and swimming pool are gorgeous. Would I stay here again without a doubt?

Nachdem wir das Hotel mit kleinen Schwierigkeiten gefunden haben waren wir überwältigt. Das Hotel mit 9 Zimmer ist sehr liebevoll und bis im kleinsten Detail im Kolonialstil eingerichtet. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Ehepaar das sich Zeit für seine Gäste nimmt (Reise im September). Ihre Tipps für die Region sind Gold wert. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

We only spent one night in this hotel after turning it down at the earliest possible time on tripadvisor. The room was very spacious and tidy, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with a number of soft cushions. The only thing Id change was the view of the road, which was a little noisy if you opened the window but perfectly silent when it was closed. There is also a swimming pool we didn't use due to our brief visit, and they have a spa room, but you have to reserve them in advance if you want to utilize them. Breakfast is not included, but you can have tea or espresso for free in the lounge. The best place to stay if you're looking for somewhere to go from Salander to Diajon Casa de Castro is located on the road from Salander to Dijon.

This lovely restored Indian home has been tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and historic items, some of which are original to the property. Rosa is a wonderful host who provided us with useful recommendations for places to go and eat. Our breakfast selection of savoury foods, fresh fruit, and cakes prepared by Roses husband was probably the best we've ever had in Asturias. We were greeted in two adjacent rooms on the second floor, one with a view of the countryside and sea, and the other on the side of the house with views of the well-kept garden. The rooms were of the highest standard, but the property is directly on N 634 so there may be road noise in the room on the side of the house. If you don't like noise from traffic, I recommend booking a room at the back of the house with a view of the pool and ocean. The only reason we didn't think we could award the hotel 5 stars is because this one drawback. Casa de Castro is a fantastic base for exploring the western end of Asturias and exploring the eastern part of Alicia. We had plenty of ideas for walks along the coast, exploring empty sandy beaches, discovering charming ports with excellent seafood eateries, to visiting taramundi, where all types of knives are made traditional way. Overall, we had a great time. A pleasant, tranquil hotel hidden away in Asturias. You must have a car to get there because it was close to the town of Nadia. The receptionist was very helpful in identifying some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Although the pool is a lot smaller than it appears on the pictures, the space was cozy and clean. The rooms were kept clean and tidy in the traditional Spanish style. We didn't get breakfast at the hotel so we can't comment on it.

La casa es preciosa. Está decorada con mimo y detalle. La habitación que nos tocó, era amplia y muy bonita. Con una gran bañera. Cuando hicimos el registro, nos facilitaron un mapa y nos explicaron con todo detalle qué sitios visitar y por donde ir. El único pero que puedo poner es, que el desayuno es algo simple.
