When we arrived, the owner welcomed us and showed us our cave, what a thrill. Everything you could possibly need was here, tidy and well-organized. Nothing was too much difficulty, besides a tasty evening meal and a delicious breakfast the following morning prepared by wonderful staff. Swimming in the cave pool was our activity. We wished we could have stayed a little longer and most certainly will return

The area around Guadix is incredibly fascinating, with weird rock formations everywhere you look. Throughout the town and several nearby towns, there are whole areas of troglodyte residences. One area of Guadix resembles a tale-tubbie land, with humped hills each with a chimney poking up from the cave house below. In January, we spent one night at this magnificent cave hotel. The nighttime temperature dropped to single figures overnight due to a powerful wind, but we were cozy and warm all night with a bag of logs purchased for five. Our large cave contained three accommodations for four individuals, including one bedroom with a 15 foot tall ceiling, a big bathroom, and a sitting area, dining area, and to. Although the furnishings and interior design might use a little updating, everything was spotless and cozy. The only guests that night were our guests, and we had very friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent service with fantastic cuisine and, of course, fantastic Spanish wine.

The service here was really poor and smelly. The rooms are very big and the place has good location, but the location is strategic and the room looks spacious. And then, they were also not speaking English so we must pay for the room key in the first place, which is really frustrating when you are part of a big group and have to be one of the first people to come.
