We travelled from Cordoba to Almadovar del Rio on bicycles. We would highly recommend it. Our hosts at Fuentepiedra Casa Rural had already emailed us with helpful instructions on how to locate their address, high up in the town's main square. We were greeted by them with open arms and shown around, including our delightful room, where to store our bicycles, the guest lounge and library, the breakfast area, and the rooftop terrace. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Fresh coffee, toast, ham, cheese, jams, cereal, and cakes were available for breakfast, which was basic and included a straightforward selection of freshly baked coffee, toast, ham, cheese, jam, and cakes. During our two nights there, our accommodation was spotless after breakfast on the first morning. We discovered that most of the restaurants are closed tuesday evenings in December, so we bought some wine and food at the supermarket. Our hosts were pleased to lend us a corkscrew and wine glasses, and eating wine and olives up on the roof terrace in front of the stunning castle, which was lit up by the floodlights at night, was unforgettable! Will be back!.

I booked 4 nights here. We are visiting Altovar del Rio and the local water reservoir Complex Extreme Gene. A very beautiful property that has been meticulously restored while keeping the original flooring, doors, and features. We really felt like we were in her home. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless. We had a bottle of champagne on the roof with a view of the square and castle. Peppy speaks English well but encourages Spanish speaking if you prefer, he can be a great teacher! I would definitely recommend friends and family and cannot wait to book again.

In October, we stayed here for four nights, and there was one downstairs and one upstairs. Apart from a fridge, the rooms were individual and had all the necessities. The proprietors of the establishment are kind and did everything in their power to keep us satisfied. One night, there was a problem with our ac, but it was quickly repaired the next day. And when the hostess noticed that we had used more blankets one night, she offered us a more thicker one the following day. Continental brunch is included. On a warm day, the rooftop terrace is provided. 23 eateries are close by, and the establishment is located in the center of town. Keep in mind that they do not cook dinner before rp. Although the streets are narrow, parking is available behind the hotel. Except for the castle, there isn't much to do in Almodovar itself, but Cordoba is only 20 minutes away.

Do yourself a favor and reserve a room with Papa and Angel. Every effort is made to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were lucky to have the entire house to ourselves. So hospitable and the house is full of character due to careful renovation. Much appreciation to papa and angel.

It was a wonderful experience! We received helpful emails and detailed parking instructions before we got there. Our host welcomed us with open arms and provided us with a tour of the hotel, a beautiful, lovingly restored manor house in the center of town. Our room was far from the courtyard and was comfy in every way. The absence of a to in our room was good for us. A lovely sitting area and a library are accessible to visitors on the upper level. On that level, breakfast is served, and we had the honor of eating with our hosts. A terrace leading to a terrace with a beautiful view of the castle that is lit up at night is on another level. We have loved it here and wholeheartedly recommend it!.
