This was a lovely quiet small hotel in the village of Vilafames. Perfect for discovering the local area.

Our stay at the hotel El Garden Vertical was wonderful. The position is excellent, as it is close to the castle and other attractions as well as shops and restaurants. Our room was spotless and comfy, but the best part was that visitors could access the entire hotel, including sitting areas with views of the canyon, making them the ideal places to read and unwind. The cuisine was delicious. We had lasagna, which was actually moussaka, which we thoroughly liked. Breakfast was excellent, with additional options. We had excellent treatment and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We left early because we did not like this hotel. After coming to the rp, we were told that check is at the rp. We were allowed to check in. For our two nights, we spent eur 134 each night in addition to eur 48 on our dogs. Only a tiny bathroom window served as the main entrance to our room, and we were not allowed to use the front entrance to enter our room since there were no views from the receptionist or to the outdoor terrace. The shower's temperature was neither boiling nor icy. The food was ok there, but there was no wine available by the glass. We were forced to purchase a second bottle when we only wanted a glass. The breakfast was fairly tasty, and the waitress and cook were courteous and helpful. very poor value for the money.

This hotel is the ideal location to walk around Vilafame. Just a half block from the small main square, but on a small street with little traffic. A totally relaxing place to stay. Gloria, the owner, is always present. She speaks English and is very helpful with local information. She is an interior designer and did a great job of transforming this 300 year old building into a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. A few rooms overlook the street, but all the others face the valley with stunning views of wizards, olive trees and distant mountains. Breakfast is included and served by a very small, friendly and dedicated staff. We highly recommend this hotel. This is a very high quality small hotel. Probably the most expensive 150 to 200 euronight in tis small town, but worth it.
