My sister and I enjoyed 2 stays over a 2-week period of a few days each. We found Goldi Sands to be a very friendly comfortable place with good food and lovely position. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We should certainly stay again if we return to Negombo

Very peaceful staff very helpful..loved every bit of the stay...however when booking the hotel on hotels.com it didn't give an option for sea view room otherwise we would have chosen that room when we checked in the guy at the reception asked if we require a sea view room we would have to pay 10 $ more...which we did pay and it was worth it...

The hotel is located on the beach and has a lovely reception and pool area. The room was well laid out and had a good balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel is a tad old in areas but they have invested in the rooms and common areas so that the important things are good. There is a very nice pool and good eating areas plus places to relax. I would stay here again and would recommend the hotel.

Had 4 nights here and it was a very nice hotel. Had a great room at the 2nd floor with sea view (although I had a few ants in my room...they offered me bug spray though). The pool was great to relax by and the beach was also available with lots of sun beds and a nice view of the sea. Some vendors at the beach, but not too bad. The service in the reception was good, but some of the people working in the restaurant did not serve good service. The Sri Lankan curry at the hotel was really good in my opinion. Breakfast was good with all the basics and also local food to choose from. But if you want water for breakfast, remember to bring the complementary water from your room, or else you have to pay for a bottle (only juice, coffee, tea and milk is available for free). Over all a really nice hotel to chill at.

I had an accommodating stay at Gold Sands Negombo which is the most valuable stay for a foreign guest, my flight was delayed but they arranged for me to book a late checkout until 3.00 pm for free and they gave me a friendly service with a beautiful sea view. thank you.

This is my first visit to NGOBO. This place was warmly welcomed and had a wonderful time. All the staff has very good service.

getting a bit dated staff are excellent always helpful, beds are hard needed another blanket to sleep on, tiles around the pool are very slippery/dangerous overall a nice enough place to stay.
