Perfect location. Walking distance to town, the temples and the lake. Restaurant offered a variety of food choices and the dishes we had were excellent. Amazing pool, outdoor space. Super helpful/friendly staff. Internet very good in room.

Already planning our next stay here. Lovely hotel right on the river. Friendly helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you. Good menu at night & good breakfast. Way too much food. Area around is so quiet & peaceful.

Selected as convenient over night stay close to Yala Park. First impression was well kept bright welcoming property. Staff great. Rooms cool large and well maintained. Pool a bonus...and small gym! Breakfast substantial and delish. Definitely recommend for Yala safari visit.

An amazing place to stay! Rooms are comfortable and clean with great facilities including a delicious food at their restaurant and a relaxing pool. The staff set up a great full day safari for us with meals included. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Great hotel. Nice and clean and upgraded us to the treehouse. Bed was really comfortable and we had both a/c and a fan. Very accommodating and made sure we were booked for a great safari tour. Nice restaurant on site. Went over and above providing take away breakfast for the tour and breakfast at the hotel that accommodated my food intolerance. Highly recommend.

I love this place and could have stayed longer. A clean swimming pool. A restaurant on site and we could eat any time. Staff were very accommodating. There was also a free jeep tour (offer tips) of the local area where I saw monkeys. Wonderful!

Wir suchten eine Unzerkunft in Tissamaharama, um am nächsten Tag auf Safari zu gehen. Das Hotel River Front liegt zwar etwas abseits der Stadt, aber das ist völlig egal, da das Zentrum von Tissamaharama ohnehin nicht sehenswert ist und es dort auch keine empfehlenswerten Restaurants gibt. Die Managerin machte alles möglich. Wir bekamen am nächsten Tag ein Breakfast- Pack morgens um 4:30 Uhr gebracht und konnten so die Safari starten. Das Haus ist wohl neu und dazu sehr gut gepflegt. Es ist die Managerin und ihre Mitarbeiter, die alles hervorragend im Griff haben: Immer liebenswert, immer freundlich und serviceorientiert. Das Frühstück und auch die übrigen angebotenen Mahlzeiten sind hervorragend. Wir würden immer wieder hierher kommen.

Magnifique petit hôtel presque familial, récent et bien entretenu. Le jardin à l'arrière est très agréable. L'accueil par la jeune Manager est excellent et tout le personnel est charmant et se plie en quatre pour nous faire plaisir. Chambre grande, très propre, arrangée avec goût. Lit ultra confortable. Je recommande très fortement cet hôtel.

Just minutes off the main road, you enter through an impressive gateway and see in front of you an almost fairytale structure, set in a tropical garden. Large rooms with cold drinks always available. FYI however, I suspect that it's a little walk to town or anywhere else if you don't have a car.

Amazing property run by a very nice Family. Service superb. Breakfast nice. We were there during the Poas(Full Moon) and the family kindly invited us to the Big Buddha Temple in the evening which was very special! Thank you Again Family!

Great family-run hotel. Husband agreed to rate week in advance. We had room 204, which overlooked the river and pool. Very private, so we left the front door and balcony door open for a through draft. Air conditioning was provided, but I don't like it. There was also a powerful fan out on an early morning safari and someone arrived at 4.30 to provide us with a packed breakfast. I couldn't complain.

I strongly recommend this hotel. It's a good decision if you want to stay here, as I have no issues about the riverfront hotel. We were well treated, the food was delicious, and the staff was really friendly. Wifi was also very fast and the pool was lovely. They also offered safari services for gala, and it was really well organized.

We stayed in the riverfront longer than most visitors to tessa. The entire facility is excellently maintained and is continuously cleaned during the day, making the hotel stand out in sri lanka as shining clean. The rooms are equally modern, well-isolated from mosquitos and ideal air conditioning. Our greatest memory will be the kind ownerfamily our children played with, who were always around and helpful. The family and I! The large pool and the garden hangout, with hammocks and swings out over the river for monkey, bird, and crocodile viewing. The cuisine is excellent and reasonably priced, especially the rice and curry. The gala safari was the only thing we were unhappy with. I felt it was very clear that we wanted an English-speaking guide, instead we got a non-English-speaking driver who couldn't even name the animals, let alone tell us anything about their lives. After the safari, we spoke, and they apologized and said they would get a new driver, but they used the same for the remaining 5 days. Reflections that are general travel advice rather than just for the hotel they like Most tessa hotels I've realised after talking to other tourists that the majority of tessa hotels have the belief that all foreigners only want to discover a leopard and don't care about any other aspect of the safari, resulting in

After a wedding in Weerawila, I was looking for a place to crash and relax. Found this place and of course, it's a great place to crash and relax. The staff is really friendly and the swimming pool is clean. We have a low budget but a nice place.

Our room was nice, and the owners and staff were very friendly, including getting us to participate in a birthday celebration on our first night, which was also helpful. The Sri Lanka breakfast was excellent, and the dinner was excellent too. Sadly, the owners had to leave their hotel on the second day, which I believe was due to family problems. Because of this, we were unable to eat there, and there was only continental breakfast available the following day. But at least they recommended an excellent restaurant smokey kitchen for our dinner. Besides that, they were extremely helpful. We had a great time at the hotel riverfront. Our room was clean and large, so we had a great time there. However, there were no mosquito nets on our beds, which would have been an advantage.
