After a late night flight, we arrived at this place and we were quite happy that we arrived late. The location is close to the airport, we slept in a comfortable room, and we think it is a great place to start your journey to Sri Lanka! The breakfast was good.

I would like to thank you. This sounds like a haven in the first sentence. In an urban backstreet, it's a room that is surprisingly basic but useful. I booked through hostelbookers, but despite my request for airport pickup, no one greeted me. Silly spent too much on an airport taxi, but someone cares when an uber is exhausted from flights. The owner took me to my room and the bathroom, and I was so grateful. There was a fan, two single beds, and a fan in the room. I also appreciated that there was a key that would lock at night. No sheet was required on hot nights, not even that one was provided. Toiletries were like toothpaste and an old shampoo bottle left by past visitors, which I appreciated. The morning was fast and helpful. He drove me to the major road for 200 rs and waited for the right bus to come, assisting me on. I was correctly informed of the timing and the cost to Anuradhapura was this, 350 rs. I got what I needed, and it was delivered. Local assistance was extra helpful. I have a private room for myself that cost 160 rs from memory.

Overall, this place is worthy of continuing to stay and return, but it was entirely about the location. Excellent value and location, this is a great choice close to the airport. It is conveniently located close to the bus stop. Our family of five stayed in two rooms. One room was a double with a single room, but with the windows open and the fan on it, it was cool. Even with the windows open and the fan on, the top-floor room was much hotter than the rest, which I believe is made of a more insulating material. AC may be utilized as an option, but we didn't even need it. The hot-powered showers had some water pressure that was low, but the cold-water showers were strong and clean. The first day of breakfast consisted of egg and salad rolls, and plantain pancakes each day served with a cup of tea. Although night wasn't too awful, light sleepers wouldn't have a good night's sleep. There are several restaurants in the area, but none that are really western or westernfocused if that is what you desire and youll need to take a rickshaw to Ettukala for something with a little more unusual. There was lots of good rice and curry, gotta, rotis etc. nearby as youd anticipate, which was all we wanted at the moment.

I was disappointed with the room, it said there were free toiletries and there were none. The buffet breakfast was not as described, it was just a few slices of toast and a few slices of tea. The owner decided when to serve and knocked on our door to say it was ready quite early in the morning without prior warning. He could have told us the night before it was early because we were awake, but he didn't know and that's just unacceptable. The bed did not have a sheet, and the mosquito net didn't fit the bed. We didn't expect much since the room was so cheap, but the basics like a sheet on the bed and a mosquito net were expected. There is no need to make false claims about buffet breakfast, free toiletries, kettle facilities in the room, etc., which there were none. The owner was nice enough and the location was close to the bus and train station.
