Whilst there were some issues with our booking in relation to the details within the advert for the hotel which we have now resolved with Expedia, we still want to leave a positive review. The staff were absolutely amazing and were so accommodating, and in particular Arutha (food and beverage) delivered the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. We really felt like he could not do enough and was a pleasure to be around each day. It was my friends 50th and they pulled out all the stops for the evening even though it was New Year’s Eve. They made an amazing cake and decorated the room which was really lovely and I’m grateful to the manager for his/his teams efforts. The beachside bar and pool is in a beautiful location and the beach is amazing. It’s about 15 minutes in the shuttle to get there but is worth a visit. The chef made some really tasty food and as a vegan I appreciated the extra effort he went to. Whilst the fixed menu wasn’t really what we had hoped for, I have to say most of the dishes were lovely. The chef took the time to come and speak to us which again was appreciated. Whilst the Ayurveda treatments were not what we wanted, the manager assisted us as much as he could, and for that we were grateful and believe the hotel deserves a positive review for the time, effort and service the staff gave us.

We received an immediate upgrade on arrival and found the room amazing with beautiful views of the lake. We had excellent room service as well as a superb breakfast buffet. The indoor/outdoor pool was extremely convenient and the staff extremely helpful and welcoming,

A quiet and beautiful small hotel with stunning outlook onto Lake Yoda which has resident pelicans and cormorants. There are many individual features and breakfast was served to order, including toast. All very lovely.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen 8 bezaubernde Nächte in diesem wundervollen Hotel zu verbringen. Das Zimmer ist stilvoll eingerichtet und hat einen unglaublichen Blick auf den See. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und spricht einwandfrei Englisch. Beim Frühstück kann man Wasservögel und andere Tiere beobachten. Das Abendessen idt auch sehr lecker, die Süßwasserschrimps sind nur zu empfehlen. Fitnessraum und Pool sind in einem sehr gutem Zustand. Eine vom Hotel organisierte Safari habe ich ebenfalls in Anspruch genommen und hatte das Glück Leoparden, Elefanten und weitere Tiere im Yala Nationalpark zu sehen während andere kaum welche gesehen haben. In der Region mit Abstand das beste Hotel.

Marvellous stay at Thaulle Resort, which is convenient for both Yala and Bundala National Parks = both of which are amazing. The Reception team were very friendly and check-in straightforward. Our room was not large but comfortable, with a great view over the lake. Decor was tastefully style, verging on the cool. Thaulle Resort also hosts a spa which many of the guests used and there is a very chilled atmosphere. The food was great and fair value - excellent curries and Western options. Dinner is outside in a romantic setting. Wine is expensive compared to all hotels that we stayed in = some 5 star. A fair sized pool but in a lovely setting and never.crowded. It was never a problem to get a sun bed in the well planted gardens. In summary a relaxed, tasteful, boutique hotel with great staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I do not hesitate to recommend..

It was my wife's birthday and when I mentioned it to the hotel staff, they went out of their way to help us celebrate... From chilling a special bottle of champagne we brought with us... to organizing an amazing birthday dinner and celebration for us. They really made it a special time for us! Facilities and food are fantastic too!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The King Suite was beautiful with a top view of the lake. A complimentary foot massage was divine. The food here was excellent: all a la carte, spicy, and delicious and dinner in the garden was simply delightful, especially as there were no mosquitoes. Thanks to the staff for mosquito sticks at every table.

We really enjoyed the stay at this hotel and it was one of the best we stayed at during our travel in Sri Lanka. The service is great, and staff so friendly and welcoming, food, both dinners and breakfast were also very good, some of the best food we got on our travel. I loved how they serve dinner outside on the lawn in the evenings, so beautiful. Rooms have a great view over the lake, and we got an upgrade when we came, so we also got an open balcony with the beautiful lake view, loved sitting there and enjoyed both room service lunch meals there, and an evening sunset beer. The room was big, with a big bathroom and very clean. The hotel also arranged a safari driver for us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling the area.

Отель превзошел все ожидания. Странно, что он позиционируется как 3* отель, поскольку уровень номера, персонала и сервиса в общем явно выше. Идеально чистый номер, новые полотенца, чистое белье, просторная чистая ванная комната со всем необходимым, шампуни-гели в "хэндмэйд" бутылочках. Тихий и не мешающий спать кондиционер (что как оказалось редкость для Ланки даже в 5* отелях). Хороший спа, отель судя по буклетикам специализируется на аюрведе, есть даже курсы на несколько недель, в общем все серьезно. Расположен вблизи заповедника Яла и естественно предлагает услуги по организации сафари. Стоимость почти такая же, как и "на улице", решили даже не тратить время на торги с сомнительными лавками за пределами отеля. В итоге, были довольны на 1000%: водитель оказался профессионалом, работающим в заповеднике в группе поиска слонов. Соответственно, он знал весь заповедник вдоль и поперек, смог показать всех обитателей, пока остальные впустую катались по полям. По сравнению с остальными он был реально крут. Мы были единственные в тот день, кто увидел леопарда, причём смогли подобраться к нему на расстояние в пару метров, а все остальные цокали языками и завидовали) Завтраки и ужины немногочисленны по количеству блюд, но очень вкусны. Впрочем, можно сделать заказ и по меню. Да, кстати, делают отличные коктейли. Персонал ресторана очень дружелюбен и не клянчит чаевые, как в большинстве мест тут. В минусы и записать нечего, даже ничего в голову не приходит. В общем, идеальный вариант
