A une quarantaine de minutes du centre de Kandy, cette superbe demeure coloniale au charme suranné surplombant une vallée vierge constitue un véritable havre de paix, aux antipodes du tumulte de la ville. David et Michael, les propriétaires des lieux, l’ont magnifiquement aménagée en rajoutant des touches art déco. Le mobilier et les objets vintage, l’ambiance musicale, les nombreuses oeuvres d'art exposées et la sérénité des lieux vous font remonter le temps. La cuisine proposée est succulente et originale. La piscine à débordement offre une vue dégagée sur de superbes couchers de soleil. Le personnel hyper attentionné contribue largement à la zénitude des lieux. Bref, tout est absolument parfait ! Un coup de cœur absolu !

We will return! The flame tree estate is an amazing colonial villa a 25-minute drive from handy, in a lovely environment that has been completely renovated and the result is simply superb! We really enjoyed our peaceful visit despite the 3 day rainfall, and luckily we had the villa for ourselves, my husband, and a friend. We loved the suites downstairs in the pineapple villa, each with an exceptional bathroom, full of character, and charm, and a lovely private terrace. Even though the food choices are limited in this context, the diners were excellent, although the food selection is limited. The garden and pool settings are fantastic, and I can't imagine how it's like when the sun comes! We would have liked to discuss more with the owner David about the history of the property, whom we occasionally met.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been is at this resort. The location is ideal if you want to unwind in the serenity and the old-world charm far from the crowded streets. Nevertheless, your room has all the modern conveniences. At all times, the personnel is kind and helpful, adjusting to your individual tastes. Despite the fact that Sri Lanka is in a tough period, amazingly, you can truly unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this wonderful country.

We booked 2 nights here and ended up staying 4 nights because it was just the most amazing estate. From the moment we arrived, Angelo and all the staff made us feel right at home. From the food to the service to the design of the place. I love everything about it. We have traveled a lot and this is by far the nicest place Ive ever stayed. Can't wait to come back!.

A short distance from handy town, this is the most excellent place to stay because this is a villa not a hotel. Nevertheless, it's the ideal location for those who enjoy the traditional French ambiance of travel and the quiet air of nature, among birds and greenery, and great views of the forest. The deluxe accommodations are quite large, but they are insufficient in providing some essentials of travel, like a hair dryer that must be requested without an electrical strip, and no refrigerator or tea or coffee maker in the room. Contact them in advance if you have any. The boss is courteous and cares with a personal touch that makes one overlooks but still provides the necessities of accommodation of this class. The breakfast is not very opulent but delicious. There is a little library where you can read while solitary in nature with your book. Recommended for a three-day stay and more, but not for a brief stay. I'd like to return shortly and hope the management can handle the room's above-broadest demands in the meantime.

The location in Sri Lanka is also a hidden treasure. The building is lovely, and the garden and pool are great! We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing to note is that there is no refrigerator in the room, which is quite useful in a tropical country like sri lanka.
