We really enjoyed our stay at this tiny boutique hotel with 16 rooms and located in an old military fort. The design of the buildings and furnishings is in the gland style. The restaurant's service had been cut down due to the corona disaster, but we had both great breakfasts and suppers there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making you feel at ease and welcome. The location is still iconic, but a few years ago it was even more spectacular. The upkeep of the buildings and plants is not really top-notch, but it is one of the best hotels on the island. Great paths along the coast for running.

I had an enjoyable time while staying in a converted coastal fort. I received an old photograph of the fortress after I checked in. I was given the impression that my room had an ancient storage area for shells and such, despite the fact that my room didn't have any external windows, so there was just natural light coming from the doorway with a transparent wall that led into the corridor. The darkness in the room became more dim because I turned down the shades because I didn't want to be seen by anyone passing by in the corridor. It was like being in a cage. It's pleasant to walk along the coastal paths outside, and the meals were excellent.

Fantastic hotel, excellent service. The rooms were modern, well-equipped with high-quality furniture. The hotel is peaceful, has a beautiful pool and sauna area, and the food, particularly breakfast, was delicious! It is a century-old fortress that is also rooted in history. The owners were so helpful and even escorted us back and forth to the bus stop. Would gladly return one day! Thanks for a wonderful visit.

This hotel is unlike any we've ever seen, it is a real fortress that was constructed for military use. Today, it has been converted into a boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and a top-notch restaurant in which you must have the sauce bearnaise. Wonderful breakfasts with freshly baked bread. The hotel is somewhat isolated in the middle of a lovely landscape, just beside the sea. There are several nice walks all around the peninsula, and bicycles are provided free of charge. During your stay, don't forget to take the ferry to Faro. The staff was courteous and provided us with suggestions on what to do and where to go.

The breakfast was excellent, and it was a perfect start to the day to relax on their gorgeous deck and sip a cup of coffee outside. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. I had on purpose requested a room within the ancient stone wall, but I didn't realize that this meant there was no outside window, nor that a very noisy humidifier had to be on 247. The door and side partitions into the room were glass and the rest of the stone wall, so even pulling all the shades I could see out into the corridor from the bed, logically meant there was the same visibility in. The location is ideal because it was relaxing to stroll along the shore in the evening. Dinner was served on a set menu, which was excellent and clearly created with lots of effort because it was ending season.
