This week, we stayed in one of the flats with kitchens and a private bathroom in Kustparksvagen 2. Although the personnel is pleasant and helpful, I have to report a very unpleasant situation. My son, 11, fell from the top bunk bed one night. He was only slightly injured, but it could have been very serious. There is no guardrail and of course, no ladder, neither the lower nor the higher beds lack a bed base, but rather a wooden structure with a thin mattress. It appears that many rooms contain military mattresses, as the manager called them. The Swedish army's safety standards appear to be standards of safety. I advise parents with young children against this youth hostel. Benjamin Lellouch, Paris.

Our room was spacious, with a bathroom and a tiny, wellequipped kitchen. We had a table outside where we could eat dinner. Breakfast was very good, even though the kids woke up very early and it would have been good if the breakfast was served earlier than 800. The children loved the bikes and other toys available to them. The location is next to a small airfield, with an old aircraft parked close to the hostel making the scene complete.
