Our time at hotel baren was fantastic. It boasts the most stunning mountain views. The entire team is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is delectable and a great way to begin each day. The supper was also excellent, especially if you could sit outside on the porch. They even provided hiking poles for free to borrow. Wengen itself is a charming town, with a peaceful and peaceful atmosphere at night. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here!.

Kami berada di sini pada hari kedatangan kami! Makanan enak di taman, layanan yang sangat ramah! Karena kami hanya melihat di lift di hotel kami pada malam yang sama bahwa akan ada prasmanan pada tanggal 1 Agustus, kami membatalkan malam kedua di Hotel Baren. Kami diundang untuk dua malam ketika kami melihat Hotel Baren. Kami berkata pada diri sendiri bahwa kami harus mampu membayar sendiri di Wengen, hanya Hotel Baren setengah papan!

Hotel baren was a great value. We chose the half board option so a buffet breakfast and 3 courses of our choice from the dinner menu were included. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains and valley below from the balcony. And last but not least, the staff were super friendly and helpful! The next time we visit wengen we will definitely stay again.

Hotel yang tenang dan menawan dengan pemandangan pegunungan yang indah dan suasana hangat. Restoran yang indah dengan masakan lezat dan staf yang sangat ramah untuk hotel secara keseluruhan. Tempat tidurnya sangat bagus. Satu-satunya kekurangan adalah kemiringan curam sekitar seratus meter yang memisahkan hotel dari stasiun kereta. Namun, mendaki gunung dan menuruni gunung adalah bagian dari hampir setiap perjalanan! Area ski layak dikunjungi karena pemandangan puncak Oberland yang spektakuler dan banyak lerengnya.

We stayed 4 nights at the end of august and couldnt be happier with our stay. The people are so kind and welcoming, the room was clean and of course the view. Even with rain and overcast throughout our trip it was great. Breakfast is a great start to the day with lots of choices and we only ate dinner at the hotel one night but it was delicious! Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time here. The salad bowl was the starting point. Delectable and fresh. We also had a white fish filet and a pulled beef burger. All of the ingredients were delicious and expertly prepared. This was our favorite dish in wengen.

We stayed on christmas day for 2 nights. Our room had a great view and was quite spacious with a balcony. The hotel is a short walk downhill from the train station. It is family owned and just a nice place to stay while in wengen. It even has real keys! Not a digital card. Breakfast buffet was perfect. Lots of choices and included make your own soft or hardboiled eggs as well as standard european fare. Dinner was so amazing. Tasty, beautiful plated and prepared with fresh twists on classics. We enjoyed two homemade liqueurs including a raspberry one from their own raspberries. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

What a beautiful hotel. I returned with my daughter and a friend because this was my second year. We shared a family room on the top floor with an amazing view. Everything was fantasticthe cuisine, the service, and the location.

Wow, in a single word. This location is stunning and the ideal place to explore this area of the alps. We had a wonderful stay in the family suite and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The staff is extremely helpful and wonderful. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was fantastic. The included breakfast is also divine.

Hotel baren is a great place to stay to enjoy a very special slice of heaven that is wengen and the surrounding area. Our room was large enough to accommodate us and our large luggage and our verandah provided breathtaking views of the Alps and Lauterbrunnen valley. The staff were always very helpful with advice on local activities and their breakfast buffet is large with many options for any type of breakfast you want. We particularly enjoyed the variety of local foods available so we could immerse ourselves in all things schweik.

In midaugust 2023, we stayed at the hotel restaurant baren. Our hotel room was on the second floor and overlooked the mountains. The view was absolutely breathtaking i could have sat on the room balcony and just stared at the mountains all day! But there was too much to enjoy in the area, so it was good that getting around from the hotel was easy. Its a few minutes outside of the center of wengen, but thats not a detritus! It made for a more serene stay, in my opinion. The hotel is located downhill from the center, so if you have any trouble walking uphill, you can choose to take a short taxi ride if needed. The room itself was somewhat small, but it was very clean and sufficiently wellappointed, and you could reach it via a lift. It didnt have air conditioning, but opening the balcony door or window in the evening quickly cools everything down. We were there on a couple of very warm days. We also had great breakfasts and a very nice dinner at the hotel. Their food and service are excellent and friendly. I will definitely stay at the hotel restaurant baren again and hope to return to the wengen / leuterbrunnen valley area sooner than later.

This small hotel has amazing staff. Everyone is really sweet. From Sara putting a shawl on my wife when she felt relaxed at dinner to Melissa putting our every need in breakfast. Friendly front desk. This is the place to stay in wengen. The location was a very good base to see the area. Regards.

Highly recommended for a stay in wengen. Very comfortable and convenient family run hotel. We loved our stay, the rooms were practical and the food in the restaurant was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and proactive in helping guests. Great value for money.

We had an amazing 3 night stay! Everything about our experience was amazing. The staff was attentive and incredibly friendly. Our dinner at the hotel was amazing. The morning breakfast had an abundance of everything we could want. The room itself and the reality defying view couldnt have been better. Thank you so much, theres and willy, for sharing your guest room with us. We would definitely come back!.

I went here for dinner to celebrate my fathers 70 th birthday, or rather, the night after because they are closed on Tuesdays. Had a tasting menu. Since we are vegetarians, they were quite accommodating in substituting items for us. Both the food and the service were excellent.

Where do i begin with a review of this place, my second home? I cant begin to express how welcoming it is from the moment you open the front door, to every meal time, to the time you leave, with a promise to see you soon. We arent blessed with much time away from the confines of work here in the uk, but every time we manage to take a weekend at baren, we are always spoiled with the comfort and rest we so desperately need. Every single aspect of this home from home, from the spectacular location to the rooms to impeccable dining to the heartwarming hospitality that Therese, willy, and all of the family and friends provide, is first class. The only vacation i ever need. Until then, see you soon.
