I had dinner here tonight and it was the best of my two weeks in schweiz, including more than a couple of 1 and 2 star starred restaurants. The food was amazing. Monika was an amazing server. I cannot recommend this small gem enough. What a surprise! Everything was very local and very swiss served in a special but approachable way. If youre searching for lodging in grindelwald, i highly recommend staying here! I have absolutely no regrets! It was the most incredible experience my spouse and i ever had during our threenight stay in the signature room! Our private terrace had an amazing view! The room itself was immaculate and quite contemporary! The staff at the boutique hotel glacier was incredibly welcoming and helpful! I didnt want to go when it came time to check out! The location is a little distant from the train station, but it's not a major problem since you can request a ride. And then, the quality of service there was amazing, as well as the wonderful view and well-looking rooms. After that, the spa's amenities were adequate even though it was tiny. After visiting Jungfraujoch, we had a quick lunch here. I liked the excellent creamed cauliflower soup. The restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the service is very prompt. Parking is available next to the hotel. Well worth the visit.4,8/524 Nov 2024

One of the best hotel stays weve ever had. Eating breakfast with a wide variety of food or having dinner on the terrace overlooking the eiger is a memorable experience. The rooms are stylish and very well designed, with wardrobe space! After traveling for 4 weeks, it was good to unpack the suitcases. The beds are very comfortable. Loved having a sitting room with a sofa separate from the bedroom. Location is an easy walk downhill from the station, or you can take the bus up or down to the terminal.4,8/57 Nov 2024

The service was excellent, as one other reviewer noted. A tomahawk steak for two people is a bit pricey, especially considering how rare it is medium. The atmosphere was pleasant, and i believe it was one of the only upscale spots in the area. However, we only spent one night there.4,8/515 Sep 2024

I ate lunch on the patio. The eiger is breathtakingly beautiful, and you feel as though you can reach out and grab them. The waiters were really friendly, and the service was excellent. The beer was cold and went well with taking in the scenery. The burger was delicious.4,8/514 Agt 2024

A lovely hotel at the foot of the magnificent eiger with stunning terrace views. A fantastic restaurant and spa, a fantastic breakfast buffet, clean and nice rooms, and a short walk to town and the Grindelwald train station. And most importantly, a very friendly and helpful staff. Every member of the staff was exceptional, they had great tips on what to do and see, and they were such nice people. One girl even helped us get off the bus on her way home and walked us to the next train stop we had to take, directing us to our next stop! I would love to return to Grindelwald one day, and when we do, we will definitely be returning to the hotel glacier.4,8/526 Jan 2024

I was shocked that they havent received a Michelin star, after traveling all over the world, i ate at the best restaurants around the world. I had one of my favorite meals in schweiz. Nestled inside the glacier hotel and adjacent to the fine dining glacier restaurant, but located in the lounge and terrace area is the petite glacier. Offering the same amazing level of service from a relaxed, funny and charming waiting staff, we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The food is generally lighter, and for 59 chf, you can have a fantastic set menu of three courses (at the time it was tomato and burrata salad, lemon chicken with fries and peppers, and one scoop of ice cream, water, and a coffee or hot drink. Given the general price of food, this was amazing value, and everything tasted fantastic. We added some spring rolls for an extra stater a portion of 5 lasted only seconds, we could easily have had 50. As good as any roll ive ever had. The tomato and burrata salad were balanced and summery, the chicken cooked to perfection, and we loved the cookie ice cream served with fresh blueberries. We started our meal on the terrace and enjoyed the sunset with unrivaled views. Truly stunning location a few other places in town can match it. We had our hot chocolate in the lounge a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. If you like craft beer, they stock some from 3970 nordwand brau, which is actually visible only a few hundred meters from the terrace from the red building on the opposite hill. You cant get much local, and their beer is great! I highly recommend anyone take the time to walk down the hill away from the more tourist trap locations of the main street. Not 5 minutes away is this absolute gem of a restaurant, and im sure the fine dining, more expensive main restaurant is of equal quality. But for the same service and great value, petit glacier offers some of the best good food in town and was one of our favorites as we visited many foodie hot spots in schweig.4,8/53 Agt 2023

The hotel was in a great location with breathtaking views that truly enhanced my experience. Waking up to the stunning scenery every morning was a dream come true. The staff at the hotel were not only friendly but also very attentive, making sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their exceptional service left a lasting impression on me. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast buffet. The variety of delicious options, coupled with the stunning view, made each morning a delightful culinary experience. Despite the higher price point, i found my stay to be worth every penny. The finest seasonal and fresh produce from switzerland will be used by hotel glacier to provide the best fine dining experience in town. The service is extremely friendly and extremely professional.
