After living in Switzerland for over 25 years, I've become accustomed to people being somewhat superficial and friendly but standoffish. Knowing that, we were even more astonished by the owner's friendliness and warmth. Not phony friendliness, but genuine from the heart caring and warmth. To be honest, we found this everywhere on the walls, which was a welcome change! The room was spotless and had a beautiful outlook of the mountains and town. We reserved the least expensive room, so we were quite pleased. It's a small hotel, more like a boutique hotel. Now for the adventure. My husband and I had planned to hike the Hochweg, which is between grace and Saasfee. I have attempted it three times, but I didn't do it. We expected this time to require around eight hes. We met our first hikers after 4 hours of hard hiking, and they told us that they had already hiked 6 his from Saasfee. We had no idea at this time because it was 4 a.m. And then the fun began, climbing over fields of huge boulders and smaller stones due to avalanches. We were able to call the police for a few minutes but they said it was 1200 a.m. Thats all. The next morning, we saw a sign to the

Generally, we vacation in Switzerland. In June 2017, we made the decision to try a less wellknown resort and stayed there for 9 days with their gold card offer at the hotel Desire, Gretchen. It was one of the finest experiences we've had in 50 years! Despite the fact that the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the village, the views from our room were a heavenly fusion of mountains, woods, and historic wooden Swiss chalets. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was generally warm, friendly, and instructive. As you enter the vestibule, the odor of fresh wood greets you, and everything seems fresh and well-cared for. There is no lounge, but the dining area is roomy and cozy. On each floor, there are seating alcoves, and our room had a seating area next to a large picture window. The breakfast menu varied between a nice to average evening meal and offered a wide selection. At a time when the tourist rate of exchange is tight, it is excellent value for money. In contrast to many tourist villages, there was a real local population who all greeted us in the streets. Speaking German is helpful, but we were immediately greeted. We were able to use a pool at a nearby hotel, and with a gold card, we were able to get a

After a fantastic trip to Zermatt, I managed to stumble upon this. Not too far, but free and easy to get by car. In a charming mountainside village with great mountain views, the accommodation is spotless and clean.

The hotel is very nice, its very tidy, and it's in a wonderful position. They are family-run businesses and cater to all our requests. The breakfast is the only thing that needs improvement. It would be great to have more options.

We are delighted to visit here and anticipate our visit the following year! We've been coming to the family-run Grace hotel for over seven years, and we've never been let down! They welcome us right away as soon as we enter the hotel. The proprietors and employees all offer a warm, expert, and accommodating attitude while trying to fulfill whatever needs you may have. They provide a wide selection of both regional and international dishes as well as suppers of exceptionally high quality. We like that a wide variety of wines from the region is on the wine selection. After a day of skiing in the mountains, our children love the playroom, where they can unwind. A variety of saunas, jacuzzi, and a relaxation area are all features of the spa, which is modern and bright.
