This is a historical hotel that has been perfectly preserved in its original condition. Recently, it has been lightly renovated with the intention of returning it to its original state as much as possible. The result is a very charming hotel that has nothing to do with the major modern hotel groups, such as ibis or mercury. We thought the bed was lovely and comfortable. To respond to some of the complaints, yes, the wooden chairs are a bit hard, but all those old furniture pieces really add to the charm of the hotel! The location is ideal, being 5 walking distance from the train station and a cable car to Fischeralp Eggishorn. See you again.

This place is interesting to stay because they tell you about it's history. This hotel is renovated but still charming. Disappointed that they did not give us a transport discount card. They should have given it before we rode up on the gondolas to see the fletch glacier. The water in the garden was nice but not hot enough. There is a nice bar in the back garden. Service and management did not meet Swiss standards, but we had a good time.

The hotel du glacier is a fairly good choice, but you have to pay extra for breakfast if you want to book. While the room price is very affordable, the breakfast is the simplest and most economical I have ever seen in any hotel in the world, at least since I stopped backpacking in the 1990 s. Breakfast was very basic and cheap, not worth chf 15 usd 15 per person and an extra chf 5 for one of us since our daughter is only 13. Breakfast is simply bread, not very tasty cheese and ham, bowl of jam, four varieties of plain cereal, and hard boiled eggs. Fruit juice was provided in shot glasses per the budget standard. I think I'm being misguided and the coffee wasn't available, so we should be grateful for small mercies. But it was not worth the 40 francs we paid for the three of us for it. Most Swiss hotels offer complimentary breakfast and this should be taken into account when comparing prices or bring your own. The rooms were very basic but peaceful and immaculately clean. If you want to browse, you must be in the restaurant or the lobby. The towels provided were just hand towels, and when I asked for a bath towel, I was told it would be more expensive, so I walked to the car and took the ones we had there for the stroll after hiking. Remarkably, parking is free

The Hotel du Glacier transports you back in time. You are on an adventure. The floor's wooden floor squeaks and explains numerous things. It's true that it's straightforward. Yes, the beds are hard, and the river in front of the hotel makes a lot of noise when you open the window. But the workers there are incredibly pleasant! The restaurant is delicious, he even let us sample some of the dishes we did not choose for dinner, but we were curious at. The terrace is lovely in the evening sun with a glass of wine. To start the day right, the breakfast is fine, and they make sure there is always enough. The hotel's decor had character, and the free parking spot was easy to use. I had a smile on Hotel du Glacier.
