Loved our stay ! Perfect location, lovely staff, great breakfast ! The only opportunity is to have fans in the rooms or AC as it was very hot at night …

The breakfast and the view was amazing. Our main excursion was Oechinensee, so this was perfect as the hotel is literally at the entrance to the cable car. The room was beautiful, clean, modern, and comfortable. Staying in Kandersteg really gave us the mountain village experience, I would stay here again. Just some tips for first timers. Everything in the village closes at around 6:30p so plan accordingly for meals/snacks. No ac, no mini fridge, and no microwave which is pretty standard for Europe, but also keep this in mind for snacks, late meals if traveling with young kids.

A short walk from town, right next to a lift. Very good views and breakfast, although all of Switzerland seems to have been infested by flies, indoors and outdoors. Perhaps time to mandate that every resident and visitor kill 10 per day…

Overall our stay was great! Our room was spacious and had great views. Breakfast was delicious with hot and cold options. Staff was friendly and hotel was right next to the gondola to go up the mountain. Beautiful walkable town. And thankful that parking was free for hotel guests. We also had dinner there at the hotel restaurant on our first night. It was pretty good. A little pricy, but comparable in price to other restaurants in town.

After a horrible experience in Interlaken. This hotel was a safe, healthy, clean place that was so worth it. Matina and Joshua were so kind! They say Americans are the people who respect them. We must always be that way as other countries do not hold our values. So book this place!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Ermitage Hotel in Kandersteg! The location couldn’t be better, it’s just a short walk from the train station and the charming downtown area with shops and restaurants. Best of all, it’s right next to the cable car that takes you up to Oeschinen Lake, one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever visited. We also had a blast riding the mountain toboggan, which was a huge hit with the whole family! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant was delicious, making it easy to enjoy a great meal after a day of exploring the mountains. Breakfast is included every morning and it was delicious! Every member of the team made us feel right at home. The scenery is simply stunning, and the convenience of the location made our trip even more enjoyable. We made unforgettable memories here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the Ermitage Hotel to anyone visiting Kandersteg!
