This is a hotel partly up the mountain accessible only by cable car. They should warn people strongly no service up after 4 PM. But the stay was exceptional. Immediate access to trails. Incredible views of Matterhorn and immediate access to hiking trails and cable service a lot higher. Good meals, dinner and breakfasts. Dinner is included in stay, but waiters should warn that beverages are separate and charged for, even five euros for a cheap little teabag. Everything is included at breakfast, which are good. My room window looked out on the Matterhorn, and watching it in starlight and at dawn was incredible. I did not realize where this hotel was when I booked it, and got so much more than I expected. Kind and helpful staff. Strongly recommend this place. (Not every room has a Matterhorn view like mine did, not is the weather as good as it was on my stay. Cloudy or bad weather obvious affects views and activities, and hotel has no control over this.)

A remarkable experience was to awaken to the sunrise over Matterhorn and be the first skiers on the slopes before the gondola even started operating. Staying at the Schwarzsee is all about the views and the magical experience of living in the middle of a slope. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of Swiss breakfast products. There is a handy ski locker downstairs to store ski equipment and luggage. The staff was bilingual and welcoming. Nonetheless, there are a few lessthanperfect details to consider. The rooms are quite basic and selfdescribed as practical, such as two twin beds pushed together scratchy towels the showers on the second level are shared, with only 1 body wash provided. The complimentary dinner was just ok, with one vegetarian option which was only pasta and one meat option, you must be back at the hotel by rp when the gondola stops running. Dinner doesn't begin until 6 630 pm. Despite the location's remoteness, we found ourselves hoping there were more entertainment options like a sauna, game room, to, and other amenities. Everyone who was previously rp is now staying at the hotel.

The employees here are so pleasant, and their staff speaks English very well. And then, they provide a little bit of convenience, and the room was so impressive with the vista. After that, they had a magnificent vista and spectacular scenery. Subsequently, there is the room's beauty.

I stayed at the hotel for a night and had a brief stay with the wife. My family arrived in the motel just after four hours after hiking with two children. As there was no lunch, we immediately went to the canteen. The receptionist told us that the restaurant is closed and that the seating area is only for hotel guests but we can order takeout. That was fine with us. My son placed his suitcase on one of the chairs while I put my jacket on top due to tiredness before going to the till to place an order. However, the receptionist quickly came to us and told us that we couldn't sit there or even put our belongings there. I explained that I would leave as soon as I placed the order, but she refused. Another staff member was nicer, asking us to finish our drinks and snacks at the table. But we didn't, instead, we quickly depleted our drinks and snacks while sitting by the table. I would not have written this unless I contacted the receptionist to request a toilet first, she said it was only for hotel guests, then reluctantly asked me to keep it clean! What's that? Did she anticipate I would make it dirty? Or because I'm an asian? Unfortunately, this isn't what great Swiss hospitality we've had.

The location was fantastic, close to the Matterhorn and magical place and had an amazing view and amazing scenery in the evening. There are also stars and blue sky. I would recommend this place for a short stay.

The unique aspect of being the first skiers on the slopes before the gondola was even working when I woke up to see the sunrise over Matterhorn was just incredible. In short, being the first skier on the slopes before the gondola was ever operating is what you're looking for in a Schwarzsee hotel, the scenery and the magical feeling of living somewhere on the middle slope. The personnel was lingual and welcoming. That being said, there are a few less than perfect details that are worthy of consideration. The rooms are straightforward and self-described as functional, for instance two twin beds being pushed together, dirty towels, and shared showers on the second floor, with only one body wash available. The complimentary dinner was quite adequate with one vegetarian option, which was only pasta and one meat option. Dinner does not begin until 6630. We were hoping there could have been more entertaining options, such as a sauna, a game room, etc., while part of the attraction of the place is its remoteness. Everyone staying there before rp is staying at the hotel.

二泊する予定が飛行機に遅れ一泊のみとなってしまいました。しかし、トレッキングや景色や料理など存分に楽しめました。白夜でしたので夜中に起きてマッターホルンを登る光の列を見たときや明け方の真っ赤なマッターホルンは感動しました。お部屋はお湯も出てトイレも水洗。洗面にコンセントもあり、山の上とは思えないしっかりしたホテルでした。

We stayed for four days, which was a bit long. The views are spectacular but the place is pretty basic so we got tired after a while (no access to the village after 16). Food was quite bad (breakfast was basic but ok, dinners were low quality). Would recommend for a few days if you are looking for a basic stay with ski in ski out!

As you are totally captive after 5pm every night an area to hang out with games, tv, music. Room was never cleaned in 3 nights. Food included but cheap.
