I loved this stay because it has an amazing view of the lake and mountains and because it felt like home! Positives: comfortable beds, spacious, kitchen and laundry available, cute decor, great breakfast, helpful staff. Staff recommendations to eat at Restaurant Krone was right on! We took advantage of the Thun area card at the Oberhofen castle, boating on Lake Thun, and visiting StBeatus Cave & waterfall, and Panoramabrücke in Sigriswil. Negative: for us, nothing! Some people may not like climbing stairs to their room but that’s why it has a great view.

I loooved staying there. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The food was delicious at the restaurant. The rooms we’re super clean and we had a beautiful view. Would definitely stay again.

I think it is a hotel with a nice atmosphere and good hospitality. Upon arrival, they offered us welcome drinks. I was grateful and it was delicious since I was thirsty. There is also a bottle of filtered drinking water in the room. Moreover, there is a shared kettle and espresso machine in the hallway. It is nice to be able to drink coffee or tea freely. The room is spacious and the bed is large. There is also a shared terrace where you can eat and drink what you bring with you. The rooms are not air-conditioned, so it is a little difficult to sleep on hot days. If you sleep with the windows open, insects will enter the room, and security is also a concern. However, enjoying the inconveniences of travel should also be part of the experience. As for the daytime, opening the windows allows a breeze to come in, keeping the room cool. The large windows that can open are a pleasant feature. One disappointment regarding room cleaning was that the drain in the shower room was not adequately cleaned, so the next day the water drain was clogged and the water did not drain. At checkout, they gave us bottles of drink water. Overall, it was a hotel with a pleasant atmosphere, friendly and kind staff. The front desk staff were approachable.

There was a little confusion about checking in. We arrive late and the staff already left for the date. Our Apartment was in the separate building away from the main building. There was no elevator in that building. The staff was nice enough to come back and carry the suitcase for us since we live on the top floor of the building with no elevator. The room is huge and clean.

The hotel itself was excellent. It gave us amazing scenary from the hotel, within walking distance to the lake. The only but big problem was when checking in. I arrived shortly after 6pm, and the reception, entrance door was closed. The note at the door sent they have sent a password to me by email, to unlock the entrance door. However, I have not received it and needed to call the number indicated in the note to get a guidance on how to unlock. It was stressful and as I am from outside EU, it cost me not a cheap amount as it was an international telephone call.

The lady working there was very busy, but still very welcoming and friendly, she gave me a free drink on arrival and offered me a bottle of water on departure, and the room was cosy and comfortable. And the view from the balcony really was incredible - they're not lying when they say they have the best view in Spiez!
