Brunner was a great base for our exploration of Wengen and vicinity. Very quiet, comfortable, and satisfactory in all regards. The staff was friendly. And helpful in accommodating our special needs.

If you are looking for a fancy type hotel, hotel brunner is not the place for you. However hotel brunner certainly rates high with me. Economical and warm and friendly staff willing to help you as needed. They stayed open late for me to pick me up at train station at midnight because my earlier train had been canciled. Also breakfast was included and coffee and fea available all day. Also had use of their refrigeratir and microwave.

We spent 4 days at the hotel and we are glad we selected this hotel. Such beautiful views from the room (room 16), extremely helpful staff and decent facilities. The place is not that far from the station, just a bit elevated but was manageable for us. In the breakfast we have some devent options. They do have some lunch and dinner options, so check it out when you are there. We also enjoyed the lobby areas which had provisions for hot water, microwave, cuttlery and fridge. There was a good mixture of staff from different countries. Like wise, it was also good to mingle with vacationers from other countries. Truely a great cross cultural exchange.

This is a property conveniently located between Interlaken and Jungfraujoch. The front yard is facing Jangfrau with an spectacular view all day long. The hospitality of the hotel staff is excellent, and the meal service is tasty and affordable. In the front of the hotel, there is a trail you can walk along to the other end of the town of Wengen and enjoy an amazing view of Jungfrau from different angles.

This place was amazing. Everyone who worked there was so nice and they made you feel at home. They even made us a lunch one day since we had to go on a hike before the breakfast started. Although the hotel is on the outskirts of town and requires a decent uphill walk, it’s worth it for the price and the view. The free breakfast every morning was good too. I would definitely stay again.

Overall great experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit outdated but it is charming as a result. It is also very convenient to ski back at the end of the day as it's on the slope. I really enjoyed the special Sri Lankan curry made by the cook. Very authentic taste! I would definitely come back on my next visit to Wengen.

The Brunner is a wonderful nineteen canteen hotel located in an unparalleled situation appreciated by many a skier and walker alike. Dated interior enhances its appeal, with cleanliness and friendliness key components of a most enjoyable stay. Pristine starch white tables cloths hark to a bygone era, in what once was the epitome of class. Don't let it go, it's a gem.

This hotel is worth the up hill walk from the station and Main Street for the amazing scenery. Friendly accommodating staff. Nice breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities and microwave useful. Bedroom was small with balcony.

Everyone at the hotel is exceptionally nice. We felt like staying at home. We had wonderful view of alps from our south facing room. Breakfast was very good. Feels good to get personal attention by the staff. Would love to come back!

We visited early June with our family of six, who includes our dogs and our mature daughters, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our visit. Our visit was made extra special by the extremely kind and welcoming employees. Even though the rooms weren't fancy, they were adorable and incredibly comfy, with crisp linens and comfortable mattresses. This is a fantastic deal because the delicious breakfast is included in the price. There is a wonderful outdoor seating and relaxation area with breathtaking views, and the communal kitchen area with a refrigerator, kettles, tea, microwave, coffee, and cookies was extremely useful. A wonderful trip without breaking the bank, with fantastic customer care that is just right for your money.

The hotel has been kept in excellent shape because it was constructed in 1905. It is a small-business. We had a lovely time thanks to the courteous and accommodating staff. The eager and jungfrau's view from my balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was quite satisfying and varied in menus. The coffee was delicious and robust. This hotel is the highest in wegen. Most of the way, it takes 12 minutes to hike uphill from the train station to 750 meters. Although there are no cars in wegen, the hotel offers a shuttle service that you might want to consider with your baggage.

It was worth every second. This place has a very cute and beautiful setting above the main town. We booked for 1 night but ended up staying for 3 nights. The staff is very kind and helpful. Very peaceful and beautiful setting above the main town with breathtaking views.

This morning, after three amazing nights in this hotel, we left. In all of my four Europe trips, I've stayed in several hotels, and Hotel Runner has consistently been among the best hotels we've ever stayed in for the amount you pay. Excellent service, friendly staff, and incredible vistas. It is a family run hotel. If you have a problem, everyone will do their best to listen to you. I forgot the charger for my power bank in dab, so I requested the receptionist, who was in fact the proprietor's daughter, to replace it with a cable that worked for me. The day we checked in, we were so worn out that my husband was exhausted after switching trains and carrying the bags from Zurich, so the guy at the front desk offered us all orange juice. All guests have access to a common kitchen, which was very helpful. Free tea and coffee are provided throughout the day. Such a wonderful idea, especially if you have kids who have to occasionally use the fridge and microwave. Almost all guests would bring their meals and supper there. Absolutely great lodging. In the true sense, value for the money. The bathrooms in room I were a little cramped, but it wasn't unusual for Switzerland, and they were comfy. Breakfast was excellent.
