The hotel is good, clean and the room we stayed in was spacious. The most important feature of this hotel is it's proximity to two bus stops and a metro station.

I've been in Berlin for over a week and landed at Ovum. The location is excellent with the u barn and 2 other stops, making it simple to get about. The room was dusty and the wall had black stains. The space could use some art to brighten the place up. However, I had adequate room and a good bathroom. At 6:00 am, someone woke me up rudely as I was getting ready to shower. I'm aware that it wasn't the staff's fault. A hotel maid also walked by as I was about to start the shower. I wasn't content with that. The bar outside in the inner courtyard was loud at night, so it may not be ideal for an early night. The breakfast was ok but priced enough when added to the hotel bill. The staff was friendly, but a little glimmer. Perhaps worth the cost, but not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed.

Don't expect a fancy room or worldclass breakfast, but this hotel will deliver. The room wasn't fancy, but there was nothing I needed that was missing. The bathroom was small and the shower cubicle was small but everything worked and was clean. The breakfast buffet wasn't huge, but there was certainly enough variety and a few variations every day. Staff were polite and competent. The area around the hotel is fairly charming, but there are some basic restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a barn next door and more interesting areas are within easy reach.

Excellent price, but beware of hidden costs and expensive breakfast. The cafe across the street is recommended for breakfast. We did not notice the do not disturb sign when we arrived and they moved our stuff around. Only lock your bag and not the safe.
