I booked afternoon tea for myself and a large group of friends. They have been fantastic from my first booking. After my initial reservation, they made dietary adjustments with no problems and absolute politeness. Before afternoon coffee, the service at the bar was excellent, and the staff made my favorite cocktail, i named marmalade. The staff were very helpful and looked after us all. One of my party members is gluten free and she said it was the best afternoon cake she has ever had. Ive been there several times now and it is always so wonderful.

Even if you arent staying, be sure to check it out because the interior is lovely. Lovely hotel, very grand in its day and great to see that it is still a hotel.

I would have liked better windows in such a lovely hotel. The windows on this place, which are still singleglazed, had incredibly beautiful views of the common area, but even though the windows were closed, the curtains were blowing in the breeze.

I highly recommend this place and would return. I took a family member here for afternoon tea, and we were both delighted. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, there was smorgasbord of sandwiches and cakes for an afternoon cup. There was live music added to the atmosphere, while the restaurant is lovely. For the quality of the cuisine and drink, it seemed reasonable, which i would definitely consider returning.

I just stopped by on a dog walk on sunday afternoon. What s tastiest experience! We ended up staying for ten hours and having lunch. The food was just what we needed and the wine selection was excellent. There are only king prawns, pizzas or burgers available outside, but they are cooked on the grill and taste delicious. Live music is also available. Everyone had ecstatic over the afternoon, even coco had fun!.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night. The best service ive ever had in portobello. Although the food was excellent, it could have been served quicker, the cocktails could be better for the price, and the drinks could not have come sooner. Every member of the waiting staff provided exceptional service. And on christmas day as well! Absolutely amazing!.

I cant comment on the rooms, but everything else makes me want to stay. Just a late dinner and drinks outside. The staff is all credited to the hotel. Very friendly and welcoming. You normally feel like compelled with young children 2 years old but not here. Roast was delicious and good value for money for kids. Love the style and appearance of the hotels. Nice outdoor area too.

I will most certainly return. We only stayed here for one night. The room we had was small but adequate for our onenight stay. Bed was very comfortable, nice big bath and the staff were amazing. Good location for a nice walk to gun wharlf queys.

I have only used the restaurant here, which is very elegant and comfortable. Excellent service and a wonderful setting. Lunch. The menu could use more frequent changes. Im not sure about the new mandatory gratuity charge for service, when it used to be separate and voluntary.

Afternoon tea. The setting was grand and elegant, the service was excellent, and the food was very good, especially the scones, which were so warm, fresh, delicious. However, what disappointed me was the selection of teas. Traditional tea only available in the form of regular and Earl Grey, with all other options being of the fruit and herbal variety.

I was able to attend a meeting in one of the conference rooms. The staff took excellent care of us, and when we got up at break, we discovered the impressive outdoor seating area. It was lovely to unwind and engage in conversation with my coworkers on sweltering, sunny day. Although the mens room was nice, it was disappointing to discover that there was no hand soap in the dispenser. Up until that point, things were going fairly smoothly. In its prime, the hotel must have been fantastic, but now it feels tantered compared to its former glory. Which is genuinely unfortunate.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with great hospitality. The hotel is stunning and obviously very grand in its day. I appreciate all the quality features, including the beautiful bright bathroom, the grand staircases, and the amazing upgrade to see the view. Even on a bad day, there is incredibly beautiful view of the room. Excellent location, just stepping stones to shops, bars, restaurants, etc. Worth reserving and coming back.

The hotel looked great overall. A local boy is coming home for a visit, and the room was clean and wellpresented today. However, even on the second floor where we were staying over the weekend with weddings disco, earplugs are provided, so youll need them! My call was never answered by reception, but i assume it ends at midnight. Breakfast. Shocking we ordered one of three, take 100 meters to the parade cafe in the western parade, which served incredibly delicious breakfast and affordable prices!.

We only stayed one night, but if we visit portugal, we will stay there again! The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the breakfast is also excellent.

Quite often, my wife and i just stop by here for a drink. The service is always excellent, and the prices for an openair hotel bar are very reasonable. There are large outdoor areas if the weather is good, as well as shabby pubs in typical english weather.

The afternoon is wonderful. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They serve freshly made cocktails using fresh ingredients, and they are again quite affordable when compared to other places in the area, especially when considering comparisons to London. Cant wait to return to this lovely location, the building itself is full of character and the decor is ideal for a delectable treat.
