This 726 hectare ranch and resort has onsite start, 500 cows dairy farm, fruit orchards, lots of gardens and even a zoo! We loved monkeys and raccoons. However, the lodges are a bit old inside, particularly bathrooms, not for fussy people. The food at the harvest festival banquet hall is decent but not spectacular. Hire a buggy to get around youll need one at this large place!.

The location was perfect for a visit with family and friends. There are many housing, European style flower gardens, zoo, insect exhibits and a dairy farm. The breakfast buffet is great and offers a variety of food so you can easily spend one full day there and relax.

This is a good hotel for families. Trying to find a ranch this size in Taiwan has not been that easy, with various varieties of local animals and safari animals. The internet has a lot of fun. Also, it's a good experience for kids and families to go to the ranch and to observe natural life. But the ranch appears to be in such low shape that it must improve its care of the animals. Running a zoo is always difficult. But I sincerely hope the animals on the ranch get excellent care. And I hope human society is responsible, not just a private one. The cost is fair. The room is large and has cable to it and a complimentary breakfast. However, the room requires some renovation. And the original independent home does not have wifi in the room. The hotel provides a free hot spring and free electric cart ride. The hot spring is incredible.

With my family, I visited this location, and it was a wonderful day. Due to the distance, it is feasible to rent bikes or golf carts to tour the ranch. The following are the highlights for me: the farm, where you may see many cows and try some dairy products, the zoo, where there are many local birds, giant turtles, monkeys, antelopes, and other wildlife. The landscapes around the lake, where trees changed colors as we traveled during the winter solstice, it was beautiful to capture a panoramic view.

Great place for families (but not so for couples). Nice farms, pretty resort, but looks less rosy than the photos. (Needs better maintenance). Nice hot bath areas. Big rooms but we can hear foot stamping from neighbour). LOTS of mosquitoes, even within the room. Within the 2 nights stay we each had 10+ bites though we sprayed repellent. Quite inaccessible so best to travel there by car (or rent one). Few trains pass by the newly opened train station (last trains at 4+pm). Possible to rely on (paid) shuttle services to get to Hualien, but in order to visit the night market, we had to take a train to nearby train station and grab a taxi back to the resort.

住的環境(荷蘭村)不錯接待人員也講解仔細唯早餐實在是扣分了第二天遊園時發現部分動物區沒有整理雜草叢生看見農場還有許多未開發區期望新光集團能好好再多用些心思在這裡恢復昔日的榮景別可惜了這塊土地
