We stayed on oh chang for two weeks and loved the island. But the highlight was our three nights at the barn rim nam guest house. It is a charming, if a bit out of date, wooden guest house. Everything is simple but well done. From the honesty beer fridge to the free canoes and the standard breakfast. Ian was absent when we stayed, but the staff and mimi took care of us well. Mimi has a lot of fun using her travel translating app on her phone. So even though her English was limited, she could communicate well with us. She was very lovely and planned snorkeling and our nightly boat ride to php tally and the yard restaurant on the river. Ian was very helpful in planning our trip, and his website is a treasure of information. It certainly helped us make the most of our vacation. See you in 2022.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Barn Rim Nam with ian and mam this time. There are no shops close to the guesthouse. You must travel for about 15 minutes to the village. Youll also find decent street food, local food stalls, a crust bakery, and an 11 fort. In the room, there are two mattresses, some beach towels, and dry bags that guests can borrow. The beach is quiet, but it's still the busiest time of year. The wooden deck by the river is a great place to read and take in the world.

The best food we have ever had while visiting Thailand! The location is ideal on the beach and it has a delectable seafood platter. Finally, the service from all team members was great! A sure 5 star experience.

Barn rim can is a charming five-person guest house located on the estuary, connected to the main road by an extensive private elevated walkway through mangroves. The large decks offer a great view of the river toward the east. Outside areas are in shade most of the day and nicely capture the breeze. Most guests spent a little bit of time relaxing on the main covered deck reading and watching the continually changing river traffic. You can paddle to the beaches for free! If you are a party animal, I suggest going somewhere else! Our room was comfortable, with an effective air conditioner, although the shower was occasionally not particularly powerful. Wifi was everywhere. Breakfast is simple and we usually buy fresh fruit from the town that we could keep in the communal fridge as well as cold drinksbeers that are always available and charged to your room. There are a variety of restaurant options in town. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to the main road with all the stores, restaurants etc. We particularly liked the fresh seafood restaurant just a few meters to the left of the junction where fresh seafood is displayed you choose your fish and they charge tbh to cook it. All rough and ready but delicious. The beach is a 10-minute walk down a track behind the entrance. The highlight of our stay is the great attention to detail by ian who is constantly available to provide assistance and advice, book taxis, arrange transportation
