The staff are great here -- friendly and helpful. This hotel is a nice place in a local area of Bangkok. You can enjoy the boat traffic along the canals and it's a great place to decompress.

Nice hotel next to canel, the food is really good, worth trying and a good experience. The coffee shop has tastier menus for coffee and cold drinks. Room is nice and clean. Hotel is located in residential areas, just walked from parking area to site.

Quiet place as there are no car around property, you have to walk 3-5min to road, only traffic comes from river (and this noise is gone by evening). Clean and spacious place, open lobby with little garden. Breakfast is basic but fresh, what did surprise us that there were lot of employees at breakfast but no one approached us with additional offer (eggs etc), sometimes they didn’t rush with table prep for other guests or checking if coffee pot is full - note this hotel has few rooms therefore it was not crazy busy, only 2of is or two tables occupied. Other than that, employees were friendly and it was very cozy place by river.

The hotel is very charming and comfortable, it is a small boutique hotel, and really fits that bill. The common spaces were very relaxing and the hotel staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast had wonderful Thai meals (and some more western options, but we didn’t eat these). One note - it is exceedingly difficult to find. Even the taxi drivers couldn’t find it (even with Thai directions). And, you can’t drive up to the front of the hotel, you walk through many small neighborhoods and back sidewalks and then end up in the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this if you have mobility issues, and I would caution you if you are a solo traveler. As a group of 5 we had no problems and enjoyed seeing a more ‘real’ side of Bangkok. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get a chance to return to Thailand.

If you like wooden Thai style architecture and the riverside, you have to come here to experience the uniqueness of Chann. Very special hotel with well designed teak wood infused with traditional Thai style. The atmosphere is very tranquil during the night. Staffs are very friendly and always willing to help any problems occurred to you. Only if you were not an early bird, you have to consider the room not in front of the river since the traffic on the river is very busy during the day.

Just checked in today. Fantastic personnel. At the front desk, they are friendly and inviting. Beautiful room. A true sanctuary in the city. This is not the place to stay if youre seeking a standard 5star experience. If you want to spend the final day in slumber in an exquisite boutique hotel and see genuine bangkok, this is the spot to be. Really well done. The only thing i would like to note is that our suite overlooks the river, which isnt really facing the water. There are other rooms with river views or riverfront balconies.

Beautiful hotel by the river. The room is very comfortable, and the bed is super comfy! Love the view from my room! Its great to wake up with a river view. Restaurant offers tastiest set menu for dinner and breakfast. However, the only downside is that the entrance is really hidden! If you bring your car, you must park at the temple and walk about 200 meters through quaint alleys to get to this hotel. But worth the effort!.

The hotel has a charming atmosphere and offers sweeping views of the river. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the food is delicious. However, there is room for improvement in terms of sound isolation and overall service to enhance the experience.

You must visit this place to experience the uniqueness of chann if you enjoy wooden thai architecture and the riverside. Very unique hotel with welldesigned teak wood infused with traditional tawang style. The atmosphere is very peaceful at night. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any problems that arise. Only unless you are not an early bird, you should consider the room not in front of the water because the traffic on the rivers main road is quite busy during the day.

The hotel boasts a stunning view, and the rooms are all comfortable, particularly the beds. However, the location of the hotel is appalling, with ten minutes to walk across tiny roads and limited food options and snacks available only through hotel service. It is advised to stay in the motel the entire trip, otherwise, its location will be problematic.

This place is the ideal little escape from the usual hotel scene in bangkok. Its out of the way and somewhat remote from most of town, but if thats what you want, the isolation is ideal. If you are exploring the city, this isnt the place you would like because it is difficult to get around. You can get some rest here. The staff is excellent, most importantly. They will go above and beyond for you. Wifi may be inconsistent, so it may not be suitable for business travelers. Dont book a room facing the river because its essentially emitted noise because there is nowhere else to eat.

The hotel has a welldesigned and tastefully decorated interior. The room was roomy, spotless, and cozy. We chose to eat dinner at the hotel because foreign visitors may not find it appealing in the neighborhood. Although there were many menu items, the hotels restaurant was excellent. While we had savored our time at this hotel, i would only suggest it to those who arent interested in touring Bangkok during their stay. It might be ideal for travelers who just want to unwind at home at an exclusive hotel. You must avoid arriving after dark because youll have to pass through laneways to get to the motel. I highly recommend the inroom massage.

Conde Nast recommended it, so we stayed at this hotel. Its really challenging to get to this lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful river view, but you have to park somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes away and walk through the small alleys with street dogs strewn about. Also, just ten meters down the tiny street, right before you get there, there is an empty lot filled with still sewage water boarded up using rusty metal, which is hardly the best experience and could be ill healthwise! I wish the hotel would offer free boat transfers to and from, as it will make the experience even more enjoyable. Because the rooms are not soundproof, you can hear other guests walking around, opening and closing doors, etc. The hotel is lovely, however, we will only stay there if they can make improvements on the way to or from the accommodation.

The apple tart and the thai dessert were the best things we had here. They were delicious and tastefully decorated. I like the wooden balcony by the canal where visitors can take in the scenery and unwind, and there was a beautiful river view. The temple has far away parking, so the walkway was somewhat risky and difficult. Drinks were my worst experience here drinks were disappointing. Both the size and quality of the hot americano were subpar. Another disappointed drink was the milk added too much, which wasnt at all enjoyable and didnt have optimum balance. In conclusion, i wouldnt suggest this location for coffee lovers, but it is ideal for photographers who want to enjoy capturing the beauty of pristine wood houses along with vistas of rivers.
