Genuine bamboo bungalows with friendly and helpful owners. The biggest drawback is that the bedding is clearly not washed after each guest. Excellent location and spotless bathrooms. Please keep in mind that if you are not a sound sleeper, it is easy to wake up from other guests and the chickens, which make countless noises in the early morning, because bungalow accommodations offer little to no sound isolation.4,8/58 Jun 2024

She not only gave us fantastic travel advice, but she also went above and beyond to assist us in booking various trips, including an unforgettable trip to chilliang rai, an enjoyable cooking class, and an emotional visit to an elephant sanctuary. Booking these excursions through ploop proved to be not just simple but also more affordable than using popular platforms like tripadvisor. Her extensive knowledge of the local scene and connections allowed us to enjoy these experiences to the fullest without breaking the bank. 8 bungalows on stilts, fully constructed of bamboo with a shower and toilet attached in the heart of the old town in ambiance and rooted in family spirit! The next time we visit chiang mai, we will most definitely return. We had a great time here - the place is small and cozy, and ploy and her family are the nicest people. There is idy atmosphere, there is an open space where you can enjoy java and chat with other people or the hosts themselves. The place is very nice and the hosts are very friendly. The cabins are made of bamboo and despite the host telling us they had complaints, nothing could prepare us for the experience. Its like camping but with a bigger and more spacious room. We stayed in the whole time we were there for lantern festival and with paper thin walls we could literally hear everything, including moaning and panting. Awkward but ok. We didnt stay at this guesthouse, but the staff provided us with excellent service. We were staying across the street, and they went above and beyond to assist us when our hotel didn't. They also helped us book several tours through them, which were both very helpful and kind. Highly recommended!.4,6/52 Sep 2024

I could write all day about how amazing the staff are here. They are just so friendly and helpful. Its really cheap. Helps you save for excursions such as seeing elephants. The location is in the old city so you can pretty much walk everywhere. Also close to a very nice market which opens in late and sells an amazing variety of food. This place is also very good and quiet because its kind of off the busier road. There is rooster that crows in front of you in morning. We were here in march when it was hot but we were perfectly cool at night with the fan on. In fact, some nights we turned off our fan because it made us cold.4,6/522 Agt 2024

The bungalow itself is simple yet comfortable, offering a cozy atmosphere. The host, who is exceptionally friendly and helpful, speaks english well. Authentic traditional beautiful bamboo houses. Amazing unique lodging. We adored it to the fullest. Not to mention that the owner, ploy, is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. She invited us to have dinner with her for free while we were here over the new year. At the beginning of each year, she also gave us a small keyring as scribbles. After reading reviews from here, i decided to try it out and experience sleeping in the lannah style. The room is small and comfortable enough for a queensize mattress. Every room has en suite bathroom which is incredibly convenient. When waking up in morning, you can hear the birds singing and raindrops. Thats really relaxing! We had a great stay in one of the bamboo bungalows. It felt very good to sleep here and there was even he private toilet with hot shower (but it was so hot outside that we didnt need to turn it on). The room are perfect for independent travelers and dont expect air conditioning or big resort commodity, which is exactly what we like.
