Overall wonderful! Absolutely! The safe compartment was incredibly simple to use. My experience is five stars. We stayed in two separate hotel group websites, so we had a little trouble checking in. The woman at reception couldnt locate the reservations, but she resolved it peacefully. The disadvantage was that they wouldnt allow checking before rp even if the room was empty, even on request. But I suppose this is the general rule in Thailand. They did permit us to use the groundfloor public restroom. It was spotless. For the price we spent, the room was simply fantastic. White curtains were on all sides of the bed. This is like a honeymoon suite. The large window facing the street was on one of the walls and was draped in a lovely curtain. Each day, a coffee maker and a complimentary coffee kit were provided. The toilet was just plain bad. It was quite big and had 6 towels in total of various sizes for various purposes. The beach was also close by.

The la de but hotel is a historical opulent structure, and the rooms and description are deceptive and do not match the photos on hotel websites. The night reception staff is unable to speak English, and they have made no efforts to speak it. There is no security, and the reception is an open shopfront openair space that is open to the street. Anyone can walk out of the street and simply get in the elevator and go up to one of the floors. The hotel itself appears to be quite dated and more closely resembles some sort of prostitution way people would take a prostitute. The rooms themselves are small to typical size for Thailand, are very old with outdated decor, and an outdated cutstyle television that didnt even function. Not the flatpanel to premium channels as is advertised on hotel websites. There is a bar fridge, free water, a hair dryer, and an old 4-poster bed. The beds in Asia are firm, and this was no different, but the linens were clean and the bed wasnt too hard. The bathroom is also very old and dated, and the toilet didnt work properly and the shower only had a shower curtain, the water pressure was adequate but the water was not hot, it was just lukewarm, which is ok given the warm, humid climate. This is a place that was a bit remote from the beach, it was close to the beach, and the hotel has a cool and secure atmosphere. Even if the room service was average, there was nothing special to watch.

This hotel is quite central, just across the street from Soi Paradise, the gay nightlife zone, and only 10 minutes from beachjungceylonbangla road and beachjungceylonbangla road. The road is quite busy, so be careful.
