So for my first time in Bangkok by myself solo trip this was a great way to enter the city. The pool was clean and the guest were very friendly and amazing to hang out with everyone was open and had excellent communication with people that I now hold dear 711 is directly across the street which is wonderful also across the street is fresh fruit smoothies for about a dollar USD, which is also incredible. Kaosan road was close enough to walk to and far enough to have a little bit of quiet. I was staying on the fourth floor, so I was buffered from the sound of the nightclub downstairs. It didn’t bother me at all.

I would definitely recommend it! Tae is a wonderful and welcoming tour guide. Im glad i met him and booked a room with him to show me the culture here in bangkok. He answered all my questions with genuine care, which is rare.

This Mad Monkey Hostel is AMAZING! If you’re looking for a sociable vibe, make sure you go here. I also tried other hostels in the area, but they didn’t compare to Mad Monkey!! Every night there are free shots, and on the Wednesday I stayed I also did the bar crawl which was so much fun. Even when I went down for breakfast everyone was very sociable - if you’re a solo traveller this place is great for you especially. It was also super clean (the cleaners were also so lovely and gave me recommendations), well air conditioned and the staff were very helpful. I also enjoyed the walking tour where I met so many new friends. And chilling by the pool is a must!!! The restaurant also has affordable and really tasty food. It is located in the best area a few mins walk from Khao San rd. I will be back!!! My favourite hostel ever.

We stay at mad monkey bangkok for the first time and have an amazing experience. We are 3 friends staying in 4 bunk bed rooms with attached bathrooms but the locker is nice and spacious. We love the swimming pool and bar area. The staff is great and help us book a taxi for the bus station. Pub crawl is one of the best events held at mad monkey. Mad monkeys location is a bit far from khosan road but there are many options for food near the mad monkey. Water taxi (boat) station is very close to mad monkey and most of the temples are nearby.

I and my friends stayed here and had a great time! I highly recommend it because the location is great with a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely but we especially loved lorna as she was fun, helpful and just a star in general. We will miss you.

It was a wonderful stay, and meeting new people and making new friends was a lot of fun. Although the rooms are simple, the lockers are spacious and pleasant. The staff was excellent! Kaat led us on the city walk, and she was incredibly kind and a fantastic guide! Lovely, laidback city walk tour! Overall, it was a fantastic experience!.

Good location near kh san road. Good as a female solo traveler, did the walking tour kaate which was great for meeting people. The rooms have lockers for bags and another small lockable cupboard in your bed space. The beds are comfortable enough, bigger than i expected for a hostel. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Good food. They also go pub crawls etc.

The best hotel ive been to as a solo traveler. Very cool environment and party friendly. I loved the night free shot in all bar package for only 380 thb. Will definitely visit again.

I had a great time staying at mad monkey. Tom was incredibly laidback and pleasant to talk to, and the rest of the staff was also welcoming and friendly. The amenities were excellent, with a refreshing pool and a relaxed smoking area equipped with bean bags. Daily events were organized to help you connect with other travelers, making the experience even more memorable. The location couldnt be better, being close to a variety of dining options and a famous night market, a regular night market for our group. The market offered a lively atmosphere with ping pong and a variety of bars and clubs to choose from. For those interested, cannabis is readily available and reasonably priced. However, a word of caution regarding room rates, they can vary significantly depending on occupancy, sometimes nearly double from one day to the next. If you plan to stay for an extended period, it is advisable to book and pay in advance to lock in your rate.

This place is fantastic for socializing and having fun. Tae is an amazing tour guide and a legend! If you stay here, dont hesitate to take him on a tour. Tom and Connor are also the best party animals!.

Mad monkey is the place to go if youre new to the town alone. The atmosphere and staff were fantastic. Tarns hospitality and her warm and welcoming demeanor really impressed me. Fantastic hostel.
