It’s a very nice historical place, beautifully decorated. Clean and quiet . The bed was very comfortable. Staff were nice as well. Breakfast was rather simple. We booked two beds and got only one. The room was too small to put in another bed. There was other bigger rooms, but we were not assigned for, despite that we made reservation a few months in advance. This was a bit disappointing.

Beautiful house with a beautifully roof top. Friendly and helpful staff. I was allowed to stay in the room as I had to change my flight to late evening. Located in Medina which I like a lot. I will stay here again if I go to Tunis again.

Incredible house…. A veritable palace! The interior is decorated with countless museum worthy pieces, and the owner Leila has installed a wonderful museum of tile in the basement. We were thrilled to have lunch with her during our stay. We had a reservation for the Four Seasons later in our trip, but canceled it in favor of returning here!

Incredibly warm and helpful staff, and a beautiful space with stunning historic details — especially in the common areas. We liked being so centrally located in the Medina, and the breakfast was generous and delicious.

We certainly enjoyed our stay. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and helpful in arranging reservations and activities. The breakfasts were delicious. We appreciate the details of the original structure that were incorporated into the hotel. The rooftop View was beautiful. Highly recommend!

A pleasant stay in the medina of Tunis, in a property filled with exquisite museum pottery and time-pieces. Excellent and wide variety of food for breakfast. Very helpful staff. Parking difficult.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. My wife and I absolutely loved it. Everything about it was wonderful - the room, the decorated building, the comfy rooftop seating, the location in historic Medina. Everything was very clean and modern. But by far the best part of this hotel was the service. The two guys working there were always eager to help us with anything! I’d go back to Tunis just to stay at this hotel again. Five stars in my book.

My wife, a 17-year-old son, and I recently spent five nights in this beautiful hotel. We had a very spacious, beautifully decorated triple room. The attention to detail in the restoration of this hotel in general, and our room in particular, is worth a visit in and of itself. The room has an excellent air conditioner, which is important to keep in mind because the temperature hits over 100 degrees each day of our stay. The bathroom was quite large and nicely furnished. The hotel staff were all very accommodating and served a delicious breakfast. We had very early departures for tours on a couple of the days of our stay, so they prepared us breakfast by the time set out. They are also helpful in planning transportation and recommending restaurants. If I go to tunes, I don't think I will stay anywhere else.

What a lovely and peaceful hotel. I felt incredibly at ease at Dar Ben Pacm Maria, especially thanks to the wonderful staff who were always willing to assist. This was my first visit to Tunisia, and the hospitality I received has compelled me to return. Dar means home, and that is how it feels here. You can see the restoration of the old house with the traditional interior, and I took a tour of their other hotel and learned about the history of both. I had my own private balcony in my room, and the rooftop was so peaceful to see the sunset. I cannot express how wonderful my stay was, and as a single female traveler, I strongly recommend staying here because I felt completely safe. The hotel is in the medina, within walking distance of the train station, which links Carthage and Side Bou said on. The breakfast was also fantastic, albeit perhaps too many food. I enjoyed sampling the traditional tunisian cuisine, and there were different breakfast options each morning.
