I've spent four nights at Antikhan. The unique Turkish hospitality and individualism I greatly enjoyed were both exceptional. Throughout the day, the hotel manager is present, willing to chat and always making sure guests' expectations are taken into consideration. Always a nice assistance to the receptionist, hatice. She spent some time researching ways to bring my travel companion and I to rhesus even though it's not typical hotel service to organize tourist excursions. The scrumptious Turkish breakfast buffet served in a calm garden delighted me greatly. The garden is an excellent location to relax in the evening with a cup of tea or whatever, which is quite unusual. It is also a sign of Turkish hospitality when a tea at antikhan is free. Hotels often don't mind charging their guests 5 lira for a cup of tea in a restaurant that costs 2 lira maximum. Both Agora and Mir City Basar are conveniently close by, and the metro station is only a few minutes away. Both cushions and bed linens were new and really comfy. The only flaw I can mention is the noise barrier. Although I sleep relatively little, the sounds that are present are the weak point of any comparable structures. In general, you get decent value for your money.

We arrived late and were surprised to find ourselves in what appeared to be an alley in front of a seedy looking hotel, the anti han. Not the quaint former home of the much celebrated Mustafa Kamal stature that I expected. And it was similarly seedy upon entering the hotel and proceeding to our rather shabby room. I may have given the hotel a three-star rating if the prices were on par with what is being offered. But 40 euros? No way. We checked out the next day and found a great hotel several blocks away and closer to Jasmine Train Station. The quality of the hotel was generally backpacker. but not the price.

The inner garden is amazing. You can't imagine how busy the front alley is, just imagine. This hotel was very affordable, in a good location, clean, and had a good selection of breakfast. Apart from the constant toilet noise, I found it to be very well priced, in a reasonable location, clean and have a good selection of breakfast.

I arrived by bus, was able to take the 302 from the main bus station, took about 30 minutes, and was able to tap on with my bank card. There are metro stations near the hotel. It is very easy to locate and close to major roads. This hotel is located in the center of Mir, there is a mirror jet supermarket about 5 minutes away and there is a lot of takeaway. The promenade along the seafront is about a 10 minute walk away. Being vegan, I found that I needed to walk up to the more touristy area for food, this took about 25 minutes. As noted in other reviews, this hotel is in an area surrounded by bazaars. The wifi is great, the air conditioner worked well, and the television. Breakfast consisted of meat, eggs, salad, olives, breads, and pastries. Drinks were tea, coffee, and water. Each room has a fridge. In their room, guests are provided with water, but they can also access it downstairs. I had a room with views of the courtyard in my room. The furnishings were a little worn out, but everything worked and was clean. The staff and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, they were quick to offer drinks in the afternoon and made a point to welcome me whenever I arrived at the hotel.
