The location, is under the shadow of the Hagia Sophia, and across the road from the Basilica Cistern. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully set out. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive; Omer carried our luggage across to our airport shuttle. Based on our experience we can highly recommend the hotel. The staff and the facilities met our needs in every way

the breakfast menu was excellent. Good choices and made to order. The staff was super, the location could not have been better - quick walk to sites i.e. Cistern entrance across the street, Galhane gardens a block away. Two tram sites 100 yards, St. Sophia practically in the hotel's back yard. Cars don't go directly to hotel as its on historical site but they drop or pick up about 50 yards away. We took Tram ride from Galata port to hotel. About $1.50.

Ich habe im Hotel Saint Sophia übernachtet und war insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist wirklich unschlagbar – super zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Hagia Sophia, Blaue Moschee, Hippodrom. Topkapi-Palast und Basilika-Zisterne sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch gut mit ÖPNV angebunden. Das Frühstück war ein echtes Highlight: sehr liebevoll angerichtet und qualitativ richtig gut, fast schon ein kleiner Start in den Tag wie im Café. Auch das Personal war jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn es mal eine Frage oder ein kleines Problem gab, wurde schnell und unkompliziert geholfen. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, den ich so weiterempfehlen würden.

We recently stayed at saint sophia hotel for 5 days and we had a great time this hotel is located in the heart of Istanbul city across from Hagia Sophia mosque and three minutes walk to the blue mosque the staff was amazing the room was very clean and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come back again.

The breakfast menu was wonderful and there are lots of shops, restaurants, and sites nearby. But most importantly, the staff was extraordinary and went above and beyond in friendliness. I highly recommend it and would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Turkey recently. Booked this place because it had great reviews and was close to the things we wanted to see while there. Not easy to find because there are at least three hotels close by that are called Sophia something. Of course we went to the two others first lol. It's entrance is just off the street so is easy to miss initially. It has a nice coffee shop that is well priced in the lobby area. It is very clean and decently spacey rooms. You can actually link your Netflix account and watch some English TV here. None of the many other hotels we stayed at while in Turkey have this yet. BIG plus for that, in my opinion. Walking distance to all sorts of cool stuff. I think this area is the BEST in Istanbul. Shopping and restaurants galore. The ones closest to the hotel will be more expensive than if you just walk up the hill a bit so definitely worth walking. There will be no shortage of people trying to get you to com e to their stores when you are walking around, even though their store is not right there. The Grand Bazaar is about a 10-12 min walk up the hill. We went there last but would recommend that you go there first instead because prices seem better there than the same fancier shops closer to the hotel. Hotel staff are excellent!! Can't say enough here. Would highly recommend that you stay here. Very good value for the money. ***IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND INDICATE SO***
