The Kalyon Hotel was suggested by my friend who lives in Istanbul. We really liked the closeness of the hotel to the Sultan Ahmet where majority of the touristic attractions were accessed by walking. Our room was facing to the Marmara sea. The room was quiet and clean. There was a minibar refrigerator. It was empty and hot at the beginning. If you run the air condition and leave the enclosed furniture door open (not the fridge door), the fridge will get cold enough to have cold water. You will not have ice but the front desk can send you a bucket of ice. Ask the front desk how to go to Sultan Ahmet. They will open the back door for you. It is less than 5 minutes to Sultan Ahmet. Otherwise, the map shows 15 minutes. The front desk, Enis, Ekrem, and others like Fatih and Omer (sorry I couldn’t remember all the names) were absolutely kind and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend this place. One more thing, the hotels in Turkey run in different way. We shouldn’t expect the same kind of facilities and the same styles. Be a little open minded and pass your recommendations to the hotel so that they can implement. Thanks Kalyon Hotel for making our visit to Istanbul memorable.

Great hotel. Room was clean and roomy (jr suite). Staff was excellent. Loved the location. Easy walking distance to Blue Mosque, transit station, and other attractions. Great ocean view. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was the beds were a little hard.

Hotele giriş yaparken güzel karşılandım ve oda hazırdı, oda şehir manzaralı olmasına rağmen güzeldi, genel olarak temizdi yalnız kat personelinin pekte özenli olduğunu söyleyemem mesela tuvalet kağıdı bittiği halde dikkat edip tuvalet kağıdı bırakmamaları hatta bu bir güne mahsus değil ikinci gün dahil tuvalet kağıdı bırakılmadı , şahsen gidip resepsiyondan talep etmek zorunda kaldım, temizlik yapıldıktan sonra kusura bakmayın şu an odaya bırakılacak havlumuz yok dendi daha sonra getiririz dediler ve evet tam dinlenmeye çekilirken tekrar kapıyı vurup havlu getirmeleride ayrıca bi özensizlik, ama genel olarak güzeldi şehir merkezine ve bir çok yere yürüme mesafesinde ve sahil karşısında olması ayrıca güzel.

Sophisticated hotel in a great location. Sightseeing boat port is visible from the window, Sultanahmet and Topkapi palace is a short walk away through the back door. Nice and clean throughout and view is amazing from the room and the restaurant. Breakfast is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a place we'd love to go back.

Ich würde gerne 6 Sterne geben,aber geht leider nicht. Es war alles mega sauber, sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Falls ich nochmal nach Istanbul fliegen sollte, werde ich definitiv nochmal hier her kommen ! Hersey cok güzeldi Tessekür ederiz !
