L'albergo dimostra la sua età. Ci siamo stati 25 anni fa e il segno del tempo si nota, ma il tutto viene compensato dalla posizione fantastica! Si raggiungono a piedi la Moschea Blu, Santa Sofia, l'Ippodromo, la Cisterna, il Gran Bazar e il Top Kapi. Se si hanno buone gambetti possono raggiungere facilmente altri punti importanti dell'antica Costantinopoli/Istanbul. Mi pare sia uno dei pochissimi alberghi ad avere un giardino che lo circonda, Gli interni sono ben mantenuti, la colazione in terrazza (al piano terra, si sfrutta la collina sulla quale è posto) sul Bosforo è il perfetto avvio di una giornata a Istanbul.

This is a hidden, peaceful gem in the bustling center on old town. Very quiet. Wonderful breakfast and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

The hotel is located right across the street from the Blue Mosque. If you're up late I highly recommend going out to the front patio around 1:30 AM to watch the seegulls gliding through the air bathed in light from the mosque below. It's a sight to behold! They're like angels floating above the mosque and then the call to prayer starts. The call to prayer is very loud if you're outside, but the rooms are sealed really well, so you don't hear it while sleepting. Staff was great and the location puts you close to everything.

A perfect spot for four days - walking distance to everything. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Buffet breakfast on the balcony was a great way to start the day, dinner menu not as inviting but there are so many restaurants nearby it wasn’t a problem. Our balcony was a bit small but had a superb view of the Blue Mosque. Photos attached are from our balcony! Highly recommended, we would stay here again if we came back to Istanbul

We returned following a lovely stay last year. Beautiful hotel, decorated in the old Turkish style, but with modern facilities. From the front you look out onto the magnificent blue mosque, where you can sit in the beautiful gardens admiring this wonderful building. The hotel is very close to the main sights, a wonderful find last year. The terrace at the back where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just have a quiet drink and soak up the wonderful views of the Bosphorus. The menu is authentic and very good with generous portions. I had broken my ankle in Cappadocia, a few days prior to arriving at Sultanahmet Palace hotel. All the staff were so helpful, from the receptionists, porters and especially the staff in the restaurant, who carried my wheelchair up and down steps to the terrace, helped me in and out of chairs at the table. Sometimes 3 times a day with big smiles. My husband and I would like to say a big thank you to Chef Botohon, Zeki and Alkan who were always so pleased to help us, and made our short stay in unfortunate circumstances a pleasant one. Thank goodness the hotel had a wheelchair! We will return next year, fully mobile and explore this wonderful city.

Location was excellent, so close to all the major sites, the Blue Mosque was literally next door. The building itself was grand and full of character. Our room was quite small but the views from the balcony more than made up for it. Breakfast on the terrace was an experience as again lovely views. Staff helpful and friendly but not intrusive.

This is not some flashy hotel. This is a beautiful setting. This is the kind of place that makes you feel at home. The staff was WONDERFUL! The location is perfect if you're looking to be close to many many attractions. We ended up becoming very friendly with many of the shop keepers and enjoyed tea with them most afternoons. Everything is within a short walk. Can't say enough about this property. THANK YOU for an amazing vacation!
