Great experience and I'd def come again! Rooms were ok but the work is going on the new rooms, new renovated rooms will be done soon which would make the hotel your destination in Rak! Great staff as well and the coffee bar and sisha area were very nice as well.

The Rake hotel is an older hotel with has had some renovations, these seem to be ongoing. So the lobby and entrance are new. The Third floor rooms are renovated but second floor rooms are more original. The pool is old style rectangular but is clean and open to relax in. There is a well equipped gym, two squash Courtland a tennis court which all seem To be serviceable if a little dated. I was there just before Eid and there were glass walled annex buildings outside near the pool that were set up for feasting and entertaining. The hotel is quiet, has good views of RAK and lots of free parking on site. Free WiFi worked good for our entire stay of 3 days. Shops are a short walk across the road. Staff are attentive and friendly. Much nicer than the Dubai scene, but just over an hour by rental car driving from Dxb terminal 2. Next time I am in UAE I will stay here again.

The RAK hotel was very welcoming. The staff very accomodating. Very good choice for your dirham. If they would complete some upgrades (replace carpeting) they would definitely upgrade their value. The bed was way too stiff , but thats a oersonal preference. The pool and hotel restaraunt were better than expected. The lunchtime meat lasagna was delicious!
