The house is a true period gem with tons of character and a sizable sitting area for guests to use which also has a fridge and microwave that is ideal for breakfast if you have an early start. Princes Street is only a short stroll away from this new town. Its in a great position in the new town. Lukas is a great host who is extremely kind and eager to assist. Ill definitely return.

22 chester street is in the west end of a large new town building next to the episcopalian cathedral. It's bells rung on a Sunday morning audible but didn't wake my travel companion. Our room was on the ground floor with 2 twins and a large separate bathroom for our own use next door, dressing gowns were provided for our use between rooms. The room was a good size with to, the bathroom was large with both showers. There is a lounge with games, books to and microwave that we used on our final day while awaiting to leave for the late evening trains. We were also able to leave our luggage while we used our final day to do more sightseeing. Chester street is just a short walk from the west end of Princes Street with local bus stops nearby, many running the length of Princes Street. The area is quiet but well served by cafes and bars restaurants. 22 chester it doesn't do food but Id recommend Foundry 39 dinner, Vest social bite pay it forward breakfast dinner, la plaza bistro breakfast, and cairngorm coffee. Id advise booking at busy times eg Howmany, we found it almost necessary to book. I can't praise the manager enough, he's a good host, he is a credit to the property.

I would strongly advise it. Our ground-floor room was ideal, and we had a secure bathroom. If your train passes through Haymaker and Waverley, step outside at Haymaker. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Our bed was exceptionally comfy, and the wardrobe was wonderful for hanging dresses. The shower worked really well, but it might take a few minutes for the water to warm up, and the towels were lovely. It was peaceful, and I felt incredibly at ease in the room. This was a terrific starting point for exploring since we frequently strolled.

After an overnight stay at 22 chester street, I just got back. We arrived, and lucas gave us a warm welcome, and he had our room ready earlier than we had expected. The property is well-kept, unique, and comfortable. Our spacious room was on the basement floor and had everything we needed for a brief stay, including a comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom with a heated towel rail, and a really nice and warm room throughout the night and into the following morning. Princes Street is a short distance away, maybe ten minutes. However, the area is so serene that it feels miles away. It is a lovely area surrounded by elegant residences. We found the guest house to be ideal for our brief visit, lucas does an excellent job here, and were hoping to return in a few months. Would not think twice about returning!.
