Tiny room which was what we wanted! We were there to sleep and only to sleep ultimately. Basic twin room but had a TV which was nice!

Belford was my first night in Edinburgh and it was super chill. An easy walk from Haymarket station, the 24/7 check-in was really nice. I had a lovely private room (only 4 of those, so book early!) and the staff were super friendly and kind. It was a chill, well-stocked place right besides Dean Village and not far from West End and their nice bars and cafes.

Super auberge de jeunesse! Personnel sympa et serviable! Lieu très atypique on dort dans une église c’est très sympa. C’est vrai que ça sent un peu « comme chez mamie » mais rien à voir avec les commentaires affreux d’odeur de moisissures!!!

Overall, i highly recommend this hostel! A truly cool hostel inside a church! We booked a tworoom dorm, which was great for the price, there were many bathrooms available, so we rarely had to wait. Clean bathrooms, friendly service almost 24 hours a day, a large kitchen with lots of appliances if you want to cook something. The walls in the dorm are thin, so if you are here over the holidays, you should definitely grab earplugs at the desk, but you dont need them once the busy days are over and most people have left. Some of these other reviews mentioned the bright lights at night, we slept with them for 2 nights before realizing there is a light switch you can use to turn off the lights, and then it is completely dark enough to sleep. The location is a bit out of town, it takes about 10 minutes to get there and back from the main bus stop.

The location is good, close to a few bus stops. Its a 10 minute walk to haymarket. The common room is great with a spacious and clean kitchen. Also, there is a pool table tennis table, plenty of seating, and a board game room. The floor is cold and sometimes wet because the sinks are small. Bathrooms are cleaned frequently. Shared showers are good.

The bunkers were not the best structurally because i was on the top bunk and every time i climbed up or down the ladder the entire bed shifted and pulled away from the wall. The location was great, the people at the desk were polite and helpful and the beds were surprisingly decent. Great little place to lay your head. Its a hostel so you get what you pay for.

Lokasinya di luar pusat kota Edinburgh, sekitar setengah jam berjalan kaki, di sebelah desa Dean. Saya sangat bersemangat tentang ide untuk tinggal di gereja. Ruangan di dalam gereja terlihat seperti bangunan kayu terpisah. Kamar-kamarnya memiliki tempat tidur nyaman yang nyaman dengan bantal ganda dan selimut yang bagus, tetapi di luar kamar di koridor dan toilet sangat dingin karena tidak menghangatkan seluruh gereja. Dapurnya bagus dan bersih. Resepsi tidak setiap hari 24 jam!

Asrama yang keren di gereja, staf yang ramah di resepsi hanya makan ketika saya melihatnya dan dapur lengkap dan ruang tunggu besar dan semuanya selalu dibersihkan dengan indah. Tempat tidur sedikit berderit tanpa penyumbat telinga. Tidak ada teman sekamar yang komunikatif.

I loved that it was in the old church. It was a great building. It was a bit of a walk from the hustle and bustle (15/20 minutes to old town) but in the nicer district, close to Dean village very pretty. The rooms were fine and clean. The only problem we found was that the skylight in the room let in a lot of light as the main lights were still on all night so bring earplugs and an eye mask. And take your own towel for a shower. There werent many female toilets so had to wait in the morning at peak time but there were lots of showers and no queue.

I had an incredible experience at the hostel belford backpacker! The staff was extremely kind, checked us in early, and provided us with fantastic recommendations for exploring the area. The conversion from an old church was extremely cool and creative, with stunning artwork and a relaxing chilling room. The artwork throughout the hostel was simply amazing. Living inside a beautifully transformed church was mind blowing! I absolutely loved it!.

We arrived very late, around 3 am, and received instructions on selfchecking in, which were very straightforward. The rooms were fine, as was the kitchen. The building itself is very unique and interesting, walking through the corridors feels like you are in a fever dream. Breakfast was quite expensive and not really worth it.

It was a nice experience to stay in a church. The common room has plenty of activities and a communal kitchen with cutlery, plates, etc. The staff were friendly, but when checking out they said we lost a key even though we only had one key. Kind of annoying almost being blamed because they are disorganized.

I got one of the fourperson bunk rooms for a small group of friends. Really enjoyed my stay! Its definitely a hostel, so dont expect a hotellike experience, but it was nice and quite clean and the staff and other guests seemed respectful and friendly. Old town is a bit of a walk away, but its still manageable. It can also get a bit noisy on weekends with other guests coming and going all night, but it didnt make my stay any less enjoyable.

A unique hostel located in a quieter area just outside the city center. The price is very reasonable. You will never forget sleeping in a former church with amazing artwork! The rooms are small but adequate for a night. A big plus is the reception staff is very friendly and free earplugs! Cheers!.

Mereka mengubah gereja menjadi asrama, ide yang menarik tetapi banyak masalah. Baunya tidak sedap, bau apek, dan udara lembab di kamar. Jauh dari pusat kota, sekitar 2 km dari Kota Lama, 25- 30 menit perjalanan, lalu sulit untuk kembali ke hotel. Mereka membangun ruangan dengan sekat kayu di tengah gereja, tidak ada sekat sama sekali. Setiap suara terdengar, baik dari kamar sebelah maupun dari kamar sebelah, bahkan musik di area umum di lantai bawah dan dapur terdengar. Orang-orang berjalan di koridor, pintu dibuka dan ditutup, tempat tidurnya adalah tempat tidur susun kayu dan berisik, Anda harus berbaring diam, singkatnya sangat bising, tidak nyaman dan lembab. Gerejanya dingin, toiletnya jelek dan kurang dibersihkan, air di kamar mandi pasti kurang panas, saya harus mandi dengan air dingin. Saya pikir tempat ini paling mahal 10 euro. Kalau harganya seperti ini, menurut saya oke, murah dan kondisinya seperti ini, tapi ada hostel yang jauh lebih baik seharga 30 euro. Saya datang ke sini karena saya tidak dapat menemukan hostel lain di tengah. Singkatnya, jika Anda belum berusia 18- 19 tahun, jika Anda mencari kenyamanan dan yang terpenting, jika Anda ingin tinggal di hostel standar yang lebih baik di tengah kota dengan harga yang sama, jangan menginap di sini. Atau pemilik bisnis harus meninjau kebijakan harga.

My boyfriend and i had a great time at the hostel belford. The place had a very distinctive and homely feel to it, the staff was very nice, everything was kept to a very high standard, and the beds were very comfortable! The location was also convenient for various parks, dean village, and cute cafes, and the city center is also a short walk or bus ride away. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!.

I want to share my wonderful stay at this hostel. Its a cozy hostel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Its close to the city center, and the best part is that breakfast is always free.
