Well placed for walking to city centre. Free car park. Stayed on a Friday night, it was very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

We stayed for two nights to allow us to explore Chelmsford and the surrounding area (RHS Hyde Hall & Essex Regimental Museum etc). The reception staff were very polite and helpful, but owing to the recent Covid restrictions the room did not get cleaned during our stay but I was able to obtain additional coffee, milk etc from reception. The room was spacious and comfortable and there were many spare spaces in the car park (which is always important to us). It is walking distance from the railway station and city centre. However, there is an extremely bad pot-hole located in the approach road to the car park (when exiting back on to New Road) and this in my opinion should be drawn to guests attention when leaving the hotel for the first time. Overall would certainly recommend it

Always a good stay here. Friendly and Polite. The rooms are spacious and clean with a huge bed and big tv. Good WiFi connection for working or streaming. Breakfast was COVID style takeaway but that will change once Covid is over. Happy Stay and will return
